The feeling of being violated goes deep. Nevertheless - it could have been worse. Think about it. They could have really messed up the place or damaged your vehicles, just for the fun of it. Or set fire to the office or warehouse after they were done. The feeling that would leave you in would be...
If your in-tank fuel pump is working ok, startup should not be a hassle. Switch the Aux power switch on and let the pump run for a couple of minutes to prime everything. Then start cranking. It will need some extra cranking but should fire up without opening the injector lines. I keep the fuel...
Very timely thread because my A2 is stopping after two slow revolutions as well. Another press on the starter button and it cranks over once more and starts (she starts very easily). I have not yet investigated but my 5 year old civy batteries are likely on their way to battery heaven.
You are such an optimist! Refreshing to think that the grimy grumpy dude with head phones that is stomping all over the mail he just spilled in the sorting center might actually care enough to read a note :-)
A nice phrase, but that does not make it true!
Fact is, that the tactical environment has changed a lot and it no longer makes sense to have slow, un-armoured, unprotected logistical vehicles with standard shift that increases the learning for new kids driving them.
The maintenance per se on...
A specialty truck without cargo space or multi-use....I would think that while they might get rusty from sitting around, they were not driven much while in service. Perhaps less wear and tear on it.
That winch fairlead on the bumper is actually a smart idea, given that there is no auto-spool and any angled pull leaves you with a winch cable mess that you have to clean up after. It seems sturdy and would look bada** when restored.

In the last while, questions have come up regarding alternatives to the OEM radiator, so I though I'd start a thread to collect wisdom.
Here are the specs on the OEM radiator:
Characteristics Data Response for NSN 2930-00-563-7235

Common wisdom from a couple of threads about LDT/LDS differences is that the INTAKE rocker arms on the LDS allow for more (farther) valve opening, letting more air in. Exhaust was said to be the same. If you have a set, I'd throw it on!
Spare throttle and brake return spring in the glove compartment - check! Put those in when I first read about them breaking. Of course, having spares means that Murphy just moves on to break other things instead.
Stay away from the Canadian MLVW "Deuce" - the DND sold them branded as "irrepairable" and they will show up as such when you try to get plates for them. You will only be able to use them off road. A shame. Yes, there may be grey avenues around that, involving export and re-import or otherwise...
Truck has to have a title. Do not even consider a US truck with bill olf sale only! Due to age it is exempt from most of the Registrar of Imported Vehicles restrictions. Read up on the RIV requirements to be certain. You pay HST on import and receive a stamped form from customs to take to the...
