I hope to have my first truck staged down there, if so I am in. Also I have 5 acres of land about an hour away, wide open if nothing else comes up. I am about 20 miles I think east of Denton.
Need to check the ground of your protective control box. It is grounded through the bottom right stud as you face the box from under the hood. There can be NO paint on ANY of the surfaces. Including the little spacer slugs. Start there.
I have/do own both an A0 and an A2. The A2 was a DOG off the line. My friend is a Cummins mechanic by trade, and in about 10 mins he worked the magic that many others here have documented on the fuel pump. Now, great acceleation, still get the same fuel mileage, and makes the truck much more...
I used to teach a course on torque application. Unfortunately most people have no idea how dangerous over torquing is. It's just like stretching a spring too far. The damage is done and can't be recovered. New fasteners are the only solution. Really glad you made it home ok.
Here is mine with a soft top. I enjoy the noise, still can talk better than a deuce, but its a challenge sometimes.

The "typical" breaking point is reversing hard in low, and then the front grabs traction first, too much shock load on the transfer case from the sudden front drive load. Simple fix is to disable the automatic front axle engagement device (remove the washer) and control the axle engagement...
Look at book TM 9-2320-272-23-5, fold outs (number 6 or 7 maybe) it has a complete air schematic. They are brake valves etc.
EDIT: Sorry, Just saw Drew posted just before me.
They provide more charge than you think. I left dash lights on my M923A0 for a week and a half while out of town, and the batteries had a full charge when I realized it and tried to start the truck. I wish my new truck had them.......
