    Alternator Rebuild

Rock on! Don't forget to do a little preventative maintenance by taking out the GEN bulbs and cleaning the sockets. May want to throw new bulbs in just for giggles...

Documented Curt 14082 Receiver Hitch install on my M1031

I have a shackle flip in the back so the brackets at the back of the frame rail are different.

Documented Curt 14082 Receiver Hitch install on my M1031

Nice writeup! I think I will be adding a square u-bolt to go around the receiver hitch portion and run it up through the two holes directly below the pintle. This should tie both the hitch and bumper assembly together. It will also help with any extra tongue load. I noticed that with my bike on...

    rough running

Mine did the same thing when it was freakin cold out and had almost nothing in the fuel tank. I was running it dry because I was dropping the tank and upgradig the fuel system. Truck wouldn't idle, wouldn't accelerate, surged, and had no power. I would be looking at fuel system integrity and if...

    M1028 price check

I agree on the odometer...pay no attention to it. Look at things like seatbelts, brake pedals, door panels and all other major points of wear. Nothing says an overworked truck like a brake pedal worn down to the metal on the corner. Remember...a replacement 6.2 isn't exactly overwhelmingly...

Anyone make alternate uses of this bracket?

I would probably mount one up front so you do not need to carry while driving in an uncomfortable position. The second I would mount under the seat padding in a pocket. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT leave one mounted near the tcase lever in an unoccupied truck. Not only will it get stolen, but that is...

    M1028 price check

Who cares about what they are worth. A woman that owns two M1028's...you marry!!! If both are pretty much the same condition minus the mileage, go with what fits your budget the best. Don't overspend if you plan on getting it home and doing a bunch of mods to it. Don't forget to budget for...

Anyone had their IP rebuilt recently?

Not sure if it's already in there but a small list of trusted IP rebuilders would be a nice addition to the stickies.

    Alternator Rebuild

The TM's have great diagrams with where all the internal fasteners and parts lay inside the case. Camera is your friend!

Anyone make alternate uses of this bracket?

LOL Fair enough, make it a triple!

Anyone make alternate uses of this bracket?

Dual pistols...you from Texas? One isn't enough :) Compromise with a single pistol, single cupholder mod. Best of both worlds!

Anyone make alternate uses of this bracket?

I bought a cupholder mount for mine and bolted it to that bracket.

Documented Curt 14082 Receiver Hitch install on my M1031

Nothing yet...working on building a dirtbike carrier for it because riding season is here. May pull a small trailer soon to pick up some crushed stone in the next month or so. No plans for any major pulls in the near future. Why do you ask?

Anyone had their IP rebuilt recently?

Sexy! I would use any authorized Stanadyne dealer in your area where you can get good customer feedback. I would avoid buying anything online based only on price.

looking for info on 5.9 cummins

I don't know anything about the 24v Cummins so I did some reading and found this: http://m.bluechipdiesel.com/site/vp44_diagnostics.html lot's of valuable information if you have an electronic Cummins...happy reading :)

    700r4 for my M1028???

I would say go for it! As long as you are not doing severe duty service with it, the 700r4 would be greatly beneficial to a CUCV. I think if you were doing massive amounts of towing, a 4L80E would be a better option but I think the 6.2 would probably be angry before that point. Lots of haters...

    M1009 6" lift

Looks like you have a dropped tcase crossmember

    My M1009 Rebuild project

I dig the truck...even like your old round eye jap truck! Those are becoming very rare. Don't worry about 'prepping' BS. Build your truck the way you want to and post up. Just don't get into being a zombie apocalypse doomsday prepper ;) Not only is it a fad but SS isn't friendly towards that...

    New fuel pump install

Not sure what I am even looking at...is that your retina???

CUCV front turn signal lens - clear or yellow?

Clear with amber on the fronts, amber lense with clear bulb for the fender markers.
