Just have a large drip pan ready underneath and pull the side plug. When it slows down or stops pouring out fluid, put the plug back in and call it good.
I think so. 32oz is a quart, they're supposed to be filled with half that if I am remembering correctly. I know one gallon of gear oil filled all 4 and still have about half of it left.
Thank you.
There are a few spots that are a little light, a few others where there is too much and it ran a little. Rained a little last night so can't do much again until it dries.
Need to finish painting the roof rack and the windshield retainers.
Only issue I have is my doors are 3...
Currently disassembled again so I can paint the BEOD and the truck, as well as working on installing a plate to mount my red dot stuff to. Cleaned it all yesterday, today is doing some tape and masking, tomorrow will be painting.
This was after hitting it all with a wire wheel then pressure...
So today took the HMMWV out to a field away from the house and gave it a once over with the angle grinder and wire wheel in preparation for painting it later this week. Then a quick rinse with a pressure washer, followed by a goad soaking in Purple Power cleaner, and another bout with the...
As solvents go, gasoline isn't actually all that great, diesel is a better solvent, and biodiesel is a really good solvent (will eat the paint off of metal with repeat exposure)
It will probably work just fine as long as you take it slow and easy, but unless the slopes are perfectly straight and level side to side I'd recommend against doing it with a loaded tank of water, as that much weight will push the tail end of the truck around easily unless you also plan to put...
There are controllers out there to replace air over hydraulic with electric over hydraulic, but the question as always becomes, what are you intending to do with this trailer? It's heavy, short length, high center of gravity, lots of tongue weight, and way overspecced to be towed by anything...
My M1123 had a 2009 rebuild and came with MTs with date codes of mid 2008. They were all out of round and some dry rot from sitting in the desert sun for a decade.
Currently the rear tires have 1108 and 1408 date codes from a trailer I bought, and the front tires are 4400, so older, but they...
Yesterday I bought an old set of 4 H1 16.5 inch steel 1 piece rims. I just wanted them for the 2 tires in good shape on them.
Turns out they have all the CTIS hardware on them, including the quick disconnect, so if I ever feel like installing CTIS, I'm ahead of the game already.
Took 2 of them...
Today was putting all the Red Dot stuff in place to see if it will fit how I want it to.
Downside is, I'm moving the inside unit up higher, so the existing hose is now 6 inches too short. Have a new hose on the way to replace it with.
The condenser takes up just over half the roof rack front...
I test fit my camouflage storage rack that came with the BEOD today. Didn't have the spacers it's supposed to come with, didn't realize it at first, so ended up drilling an extra hole through the windshield frame that I didn't need to, but I can cover it up by replacing the windshield retaining...
How far out do the A2 winch extension brackets move the winch plate? I've been seriously considering adding a winch to my A2 truck but wondering about approach angles and stuff like that.
It's usually better to start a new thread for your own issue rather than hijack someone else's thread.
When they park in the middle, do you mean vertically up and down, or rather that the end it stops on in angled towards the drivers side making it park in the middle of where the driver vision...
