WM that's way harder than it needs to be. Crack the vent screw on the back side of the front of the pump. Prime it until the air stops, tighten the screw and fire it off. Just did it yesterday.
Well, it arrived! Bruce Flynn delivered within 5 minutes of his scheduled time - AWESOME! He is out of NJ and I can't say enough about his service and company!
Truck is a non-runner right now, but hopefully that will change soon....
I have been dealing strictly with 5 tons as these were the...
Funny thing is that is exactly how torque values are determined. Every fastener has a "plastic" phase which enables maximum clamp load. These are measured hundreds of times while gauged and being "torqued". These tests then result in a torque value that will maximize clamping load. I used to...
Well, back on track.......all 4 batteries were junk. Set it up with 2 and...nothing. A little T/S later and holding a fried (really stinks) protective control box. I am going to try swapping one in from my other A2 tomorrow, and hopefully that will allow it to fire up. I guess we will see...
Caging the brakes has no effect on the service brakes. If there is an air leak in the towed vehicle you have to cage the spring brakes. The only thing this does is keep the emergency spring off the brakes. If you tow a vehicle which has the ability to be aired, then no reason to waste time...
What a legacy! I guess the fact that he "learned to fly his first plane on the way home fome buying it" says an awful lot. Wish I had met him.
Also wish I had the wallet it will take to buy that engine.........
Picked up a M931A2 from Ft Drum, with 402 indicated miles, but listed as a non-runner. I had previewed the truck, but really hadn't planned on bidding so my notes were less than stellar, but it was now mine so off we went. DH wasn't busy today so we took his M819 to Drum to pick up what was...
How soon do you need them? I have to go to NC in a couple months, and live up here in CNY. Where in NC are they and where are you at in NY? Lets talk if that MIGHT work.
I've done a few now. First, double check everything. Second, for some reason right turns tend to be harder for the wheels to "fall in line" so be careful on those. Cross your safety chains, and air hoses.
A quick vid of a tow on I-81. I keep it around 50, and I used the middle lane as there...
Give this a try
TM-9-2320-272-23-1-Field-Maintenance-Manual-2012
Conduct these malfunction tests if engine fails to start. This procedure will check for theemergency engine stop control not correctly set, air in fuel system, coolant in combustionchambers, loose fuel supply line connections or...
Is it cranking but not firing, or not cranking or cranking hard? These are two completely different scenarios. I ask because I'm not really sure where the oil question comes from?
If its cranking hard when warm, most likely will be 1) weak starter-electric motors work better when cold, or 2)...
Straight piped!
I just couldn't resist. I had all the extra parts I needed. Just had to modify the upper bracket. If you love the sound of the classic duece you will love what straight pipes do to an A2.....
(There are two different videos but only one thumbnail???)...
