Your truck was, fortunately placed in the hands (and care) of a an honest trouble shooter. And should soon be home with you again albeit with some necessary (hint, (preventative)) Maintenance carried out.
If you had another pump complete as a spare, I would (have) suggested you change out the complete fuel pump assembly. Something is seemingly wrong with yours,
So you got the "how to post sorted"..ignore my mail shot to you, and (after our(very)) long phone chat..Welcome to the site hobby commrardary, and events to come, once you have your truck..(I am working on it!..("the middle one"))...
As above, and flush the system..that is really bad crud in that jar. Sounds like a nice truck, (and I am so >pleased< YOU "acted perfectly" !..) sorry for that couldn't resist..What chance you can post up some pictures of your truck? And the process of sorting the fuel system out. I would...
Good capture, though I thought you were actually on or blocking a road..but then I don't suppose you would be sitting there quite so complacent in such a situation. My M561 Goat has never let us down, tough little truck. Love it. I also love Arizona..my old jeep has actually driven through...
And most welcome from "blighty", Are you planning to obtain a military vehicle? and what if so are you considering? (or do you already own one..or two..or more?). So, if you do, or are..Enjoy the site hobby freindships and events to come.
Crikey! your lucky to have some sun to sit in...I went out to the workshop today, wind, rain, cold..Stared at the trucks..lost enthusiasm although there is loads to do..especially as the first event of the year is on 27th of this month..Gets harder as the years go by..so..maybe tomorrow..
Why change the pan? the old adage comes to mind here.."if it ain't bust Don't fix it!" That pick up may be non aligned as said before. It always puzzles me why people do radical changes on systems that (have) functioned for years with absolutely no problems whatsoever.
That looks SOO close to the awning!..And what an interesting and unusually equipped truck? Makes it Look Very potent. Be good to see more pictures and a write up on that adventure. Wish him well on his mission...(that IS one heck of a monster looking truck). Awesome.
Well done and good luck with the purchase. When you complete and or start this huge journey remember to post up a story with pictures. I am sure others will chip in with advice for you. But peruse the forums for information on "must does". And "must have's".
