Found a probably basket case m1008 on the Denver craigslist. Has a gasser 350 in it for $1800obo. The one picture makes it look decently clean. If I had room I'd probably own it and save it.
I've heard you can run brake cleaner thru open lines to clean them out. Or just a good ol flush of dot 5. If you need it locally I've found advance auto carries it and you can use an online coupon and pick up in store.
My truck is relatively rust free and usually never fights me but those dang bumper bolts front and rear were terrible. Ended up getting them as loose as possible and cutting the heads off. I just put regular bolts in and painted them this time around. I'm sure they'll be off again.
If you're using a 6.5 and the stock stuff then I wouldn't worry about it. I'm running a turbo on my 6.2 so I needed some aftermarket stuff to get an oil feed and I'm guessing my braided line is larger than the stock 6.5 line.
How are you running your downpipe? I have mine on the outside of...
Just revving it won't show any boost, if it was a gasser it would drop in vacuum. The vehicle needs to be in gear and revved to get a load to build boost.
I run an oil restricter on my oil feed line after it was leaking oil from the compressor. Stopped over oiling. I'm guessing it depends on...
Turbo master is easy to make. Split the can, rethread the shaft a bit and tighten nut to desired boost level.
My gm4 turbo made 6psi before I modded the waste gate actuater
Mine doesn't make boost at idle and I bet the suction you're feeling is the engine not the turbo. The engine needs a load on it to make boost.
I'm not sure what sensors you speak of but I'll assume it's just into the inlet.
You can do your own alignments very easily FYI. I've been doing mine for a while now and even took up an offer for a "free alignment check" when I got my old 33's installed a while back and it was spot on.
i use a piece of 1/2" conduit inside a piece of 3/4" and use a 3/4" coupler with one of...
Took mine for a short drive after finishing up the u joint swap on the front axle. Passenger side gave me more of a headache than I was hoping for. Filled the diff, did a quick alignment and got my batteries back in it. Also trimmed the front of the fenders but need to tackle the rear of the...
Swapped out my front u joints and wheel bearings. U joints were destroyed but the wheel bearings and seals looked freshly done. Not sure why someone wouldn't of gone a few steps farther to finish the job. Can't complain though for ending up with free axles.
