I know they are heavier than 1100/20s for an 800 series truck. I had 9 of those mounted in my 3/4 ton p/u and it was a load, lots heavier than I figured it'd be.
It's there because a Bosch type fuel system needs the correct low pressure fuel to make the correct high pressure fuel. Some engines will run OK without it, others will have low power, others won't run at all.
There's a sticky at the top of the Deuce forum about the bleeder, go do it, it is a time saver and works great! I also flushed out the DOT5 and re filled with DOT3 on bothe the truck and trailer. No issues for the past 4? 5? years. Remember to start at the M/C-Air pak then go to the farthest...
Idle adjustment is an internal adjustment. You need a special tool to do it because it's done at the governor pack while it's running. Only takes a second but makes a bit of a mess. Take it to a local pump shop and see if they'll do it for you the right way.
Seen where an out of adjustment rear made it pull to the opposite side before, Check the rears too, it's a quick, easy inspection. Also, I fought this on my 85 1 ton 4X4. I ended up taking a file with emery cloth on it and cleaning up the calipers and their mounts, assembled with never sieze and...
What are you gonna transplant? Two different animals. Anything that makes HP on the BC won't work on the 250 AND, the 250 has no piston cooling nozzles. Increase HP you increase cylinder temps and IF you want to load it like the OP does, you'll hurt the engine ant it'll cost more to fix it than...
8.3 liters and the FSOV won't cause it to not crank, just not start. But as stated, just tie it up and it will run and drive just fine...it just won't shut off 'till you cut the device holding the lever up.
Here in the states, you can have them made. They will do it while you wait. They are tested on the spot. The maker has to be registered with DOT to make them. All the crimps have their mfr number on them so if in the event of a failure like the two you have seen/had, the maker is contacted and...
It can be rebuilt, try to stay away from the likes of Saturn, AVTE, etc. They sell Chinese stuff and the do fail rapidly. Go to NAPA and get a kit from them.
I tried. It came down to the RR...BNSF and their eastern partner.... donating the transport costs. We would have had to wait for them to present the Museum with a bill THEN ask if they would be willing to donate all or part of the shipping cost. The possibility of them denying the cost, between...
Well, where to start...what you are calling an air solenoid is probably the intake manifold heater, the switch that controls it is to the left of the 3 lever switch on the dash. It sounds like you might need to get a bit more familliar with the truck, go here...
