My thread slipped to the second page. I must be a slacker. I worked a full 9 hour day and came home with a small amount of energy left. Enough to remove the rear fiberglass top and slide it back for close examination of the pinch weld area and examine the seals. I very much dislike the M1009...
Also keep this in mind. The 6.2 diesel has metric M10 x 1.5 treads in the block for the starter. I know as a fact that 3/8 16 bolts will fit in and get semi tight. But they are NOT correct also the support bracket that goes in the block is M8 1.25 metric thread. Don't jam a 5/16 18 bolt in that...
This is the way I route the heater hoses. IMHO it is better than the factory method. The factory just used the same routing as the civilian models and that ran the hoses under the rear battery tray and exposed them to rub points. Good Luck. The P clips are available at a hardware store.
You can change that pump easily from the top side after you remove the right Gen 2. I done a hundred or more about a hour off and an hour on if you are having a bad day. good Luck. I have pictures for you https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/cucvrus-repair-projects.192437/page-8
OK. Have you double checked the mechanical lift pump? They have 2 that fit and only 1 is correct. The one you want is the one with the pumping action resistance taking place immediately upon compression of the lever. the incorrect one the pumping action takes place deeper in the compression...
The 28 starter MT turns faster. It has a gear reduction. Remember the old school Chrysler products? The 27 MT will take more abuse has been my experience. But if you need to crank more then a few revolutions you have other issues that need addressed. Keep the CCA of the batteries in check and...
Not a short. I am thinking that the switch and pigtail on the blower switch are melted and making poor contact. A common issue when the switches get older and make a poor connection. Check that out.

Part # 230-12029 or D10SE-12
This is the part number he sent me and above is what I found with a simple Google search. I hope that helps. I am still going to let him rebuild mine.
I received a call from the transmission shop. the transmission is good to go. They said it had slight wear on the 3rd gear clutches. But he also said it could be that it is that old and they were getting old and slipping slightly. I had it up the road a few times over the years. Just to blow the...
It never rains in Germany. We don't need no stinkin wipers.
In Deutschland regnet es nie. Wir brauchen keine Scheibenwischer
Wir verwenden Laserstrahlen, um die Windschutzscheibe zu trocknen und sauber zu halten.
I hope that helps. Good Luck. If it were me I would pull the axles and do the axle seals and the wheel cylinders. Put brake problems in your rear view mirror.
Mach es gleich beim ersten Mal richtig und schau niemals zurück.
It takes the larger brakes. Don't let anyone talk you into using the small width shoes just because they fit and work. It is brakes you are working on. \

Today I was off early to help a family friend split some wood. I always knew why I bought the towing package. It spilt a lot of wood. Mainly I run the lever. Then I came home and repaired my little wood hauler. I removed a used starter from a parts tractor and fixed all my issues. Something is...
Also keep in mind you can get self exciting voltage regulators installed in the stock alternators and then the idiot lights in the dash are not needed. I had them put on 2 plow trucks that I had to work on every year or two. That is over with now. Good Luck.
That is a civilian jack that you have. that is for the earlier 80's model 2WD that were so low they came from the factory with
Tire Size(s)
225/75R15 = 28.3x8.9R15
235/75R15 = 28.9x9.3R15
tires and that loop goes on the front lower control...
Ship it PA and I will fix it for you. You can drive it back home and enjoy the scenery. Sounds like a challenge and it is probably something simple. The guys at the dealerships were babies when they built these trucks. I was a young guy just starting out when they came to the dealership I worked...
