Here's a nice stock Chevrolet Civilian truck set up that fits on the left inner fender well under the hood. I was digging around and came across lots of parts and misc. stuff. I had a vehicle that was going to the crusher and always clean up and fill it with scrap smalls and what ever is...
Those are Ground Hogs. Speaking of Ground Hogs I feel like one after a day like today. Very dirty and tired. I will elaborate later but right up front. The M1009 project never happened today. I did manage to locate some awesome grade 8 1/2" flange bolts that will work perfect for the cab...
Today my progress will be thwarted a bit. I have mandatory work at my day job. All is well I will do my best to get things done.
Manchmal laufen die Dinge nicht wie geplant. Aber ich werde es wieder gut machen.
Have a Great Day and Be Safe.
Throttle shaft seals. IMHO it needs a rebuilt pump. Don't dance around the issue. Fix it once and done. That is my best advice. I changed many and it cures a lot of issues at once. Good Luck.
There will be no boredom here in my barn this weekend. I can always find stuff to do when the mail and parts arrive on time. The Energy Suspension body mounts have arrived and I didn't pay the shipping. Free is always good for shipping. I should have bought the RED at least you can see they...
You can cut and drill the 27 MT support bracket to fit the 28 MT starter. All you need to do is mount the bracket up on the block loosely and pivot it back and forth to scribe a mark where the starter stud will make contact. Then remove the bracket cut it to length and drill a 1/4" hole. And the...
I have the luxury of having a loader and a back hoe so I decide where the water runs. I smash thru snow piles and spread them out everyday the sun is shining. It does create a lot of runoff if not managed. Keep it a far away from buildings as possible and shovel everyday to thin it out and get...
My point about the steel pipe nipple in the aluminum alloy coolant manifold is not whether you can get it out. It is can you get it back in after you get it out? I see the threads in the manifold coming along with the nipple. Maybe not but I find it easier to remove the coolant manifold since...
I would remove the entire coolant crossover manifold. I would think no farther of removing the steel nipple adapter from the aluminum cross over. Like I stated the gaskets on the coolant manifold need serviced anyway. And if things get desperate I can send you a few new M10 flange bolts for...
You need to use an impact on them bolts. The hard strike of the impact will free them from the corrosion. If they are that bad the gaskets need changed anyway. Good Luck. Get impact sockets and move on.
I would park on the uphill side and plow all down hill. I had a few lanes like that in the past. All mountain dirt roads. I used to drop off a truck the day before the snow or drive up with the plow raised and plow down hill. Plowing up hill is fruitless and hard on equipment. Good Luck.
Made my order for the Energy Suspension body mount kit. part # 3.4118G
Motor mount and transmission mount kit part # 3.1124G
Both in Black. Red was tempting but I knew that wasn't an option. My last build has RED but I didn't buy them they were gifted to me. Never mattered they look just as good.
Light socket has a ground in it. And I would say the blinker fluid is low or switch the flashers for a moment top for bottom and see if it is a bad flasher. Fuse box under drivers side dash. Good Luck.
Good thing you still have any flesh and hair. I use a torch and heat the nuts and remove them. Too many eye injuries with a plasma cutter in tight areas like that. Hope you are OK.
Should be listed high on the CUCV list of important parts and information. That is a stop dead item. It exceeds many of the less useful information. Glad I could help.
Man if you were closer I have 4 decent spring sets from an M1008 Plow truck. They were used 1 year before it was crashed. That ride to Europe would be a killer. Take Care and Good Luck.
I am surprised it runs at all. Most don't even run with the incorrect pump on them. Like I said this should be listed in the important CUCV details. This is vital information. Unlike some of the stuff they do have listed which is just plain unneeded and not required. Also make sure the motor...
