No not yet been to busy cutting up trucks but that's helped I got to cut up a wrecker bed the other day and I don't see a reason to not hack on mine now the load is held by the frame and in, the outside gives little or no support to the crane.
Yeah the mud flaps need to be moved back some I think, and the rear fender mounts need to be moved forward on the frame as well as the lower piece that bolts to the tank saddles will need to be redrilled.
Okay what would you use it for? Show or what because as was said it won't reach very far, I know because we still use the 25/77 and 524 for communications that don't need to be secure. The 77 will do good to reach two to three miles on most days.
Ya'll do know it won't be this easy on a tractor, don't you? The rear fenders will have to be moved. Here's pics of a0 and a1. Note the rivet in the frame and how far you need to move the fender
Okay Keith let's put it in Marine terms, a deuce is like army soldier good to go, but a five ton is like a Marine only need one to do the job of many army soldiers.
SEMPER FI
SEMPER FI brother looks like you raised a great young man, tell him thanks from all of us, and thanks to you and your family. And thanks again for the pics.
May not be Wreckerman but that's cool. Awesome shot of a great wrecker, wish I had one, would you post that picture on My thread, wrecker bed modifications, the lockers on the side are similar to what I had in mind to do to my wrecker.
Re: Carnage in mississippi !!!!!!
Okay got my vendors setup so you can pm away. No part over a $1000 and that's for a good motor. Everything else is $500 and down it all must go reasonable offers will be taken but if you want small parts think bigger and will probably get the whole assembly for...
Best I have used is a gas soaked tag near or around the mushroom seems to me to sound more natural than any of the sprays. And by the way on the 939 series with the 250 it states hold for three seconds.
These are the truck terminals I was talking about still lead but thicker and something I forgot to mention is make sure you use the right size the positive and negative post are different sizes. And like I said the expensive ones are made of copper.
Re: What have you done to your CUCV today/lately?
Almost any parts house and lots of truck stops have the big truck terminals, will take some pics of the compression ends I use the last ones I got were around $12 a end.
