If anyone needs new hydraulic cooler motors, they are still available. Hayden makes them. In addition, somebody has some for sale on Ebay at $85.00 each and free shipping. These are NSN 6105-01-256-4607 and P/N 3631.
I have State Farm liability and comprehensive. A few years back I had a claim for a small engine fire. They paid up immediately without any discussion.
Have you talked to your utility? They may be willing to work with you. I get power from Blue Ridge Mountain EMC in North Georgia. I purchased a 400-amp manual transfer switch on Ebay for a really cheap price - $180.00. I ran conduit underground from my generator to the transfer switch. I...
What is everyone using for the hydraulic systems on the FLU419? I've been using 10W engine oil from McMaster Carr at $80.00 / 5 gallon pail (Cat. 1361K36) which makes it $2.00 per quart. I couldn't find anything cheaper and it seems to work well.
Anyone know what this wire / connector is supposed to connect to? It could even supposed to be connected to ground. It is located directly below the K1 - K5 relays. Everything on the SEE works so that doesn't help. There is no obvious connection point.
I have State Farm insurance on my M35A3. It is insured via a commercial policy for non-commercial use. I was told by State Farm that I could add a towing policy for the truck, but that they only supply tow trucks designed to tow cars and light pickups and vans and that if the tow truck shows...
I ordered a new hand guard for my hydraulic chainsaw from Southeast Railroad Tool Service in Ellijay, Georgia, the closest Stanley Infrastructure dealer to me. It only cost a little more than $13.00 and Stanley drop-shipped it to me from Oregon at no cost. Fantastic service from both Stanley...
I finally got my starter rebuilt and re-installed in my FLU. I had it rebuilt by Sleepy Hollow Rebuilders (SWR) in Cumming, Georgia for $125.00 . They did an excellent job. It looks brand new and functions perfectly. I supplied an NOS solenoid I found on Ebay, although they had a new one...
Since you don't know what is in the systems, I would recommend flushing both the clutch and brake systems thoroughly and replacing with DOT 5 as Speedwoble suggested. DOT 5 and DOT 3 or DOT 4 are not compatible to mix. DOT 5 is far superior. Don't use DOT 5.1 as it is totally different from...
I'm assuming that you know for a fact that the new starter is a good one? You can take it to a starter shop and have it tested. As suggested above, check/replace the cables, but also check the batteries. I had something similar happen once and one of the batteries burned one of the post...
Does anyone know the purpose of this patch cord on the drivers side loader arm? I'm assuming here that it is a patch cord. It's interesting that it is stored out in the weather.
When I was in the Army 1970-71, guys that were repainting vehicles with the green semi-gloss always tried to sneak in some diesel fuel into the paint before spraying. It was totally against the regs because it made the paint shine really good. However, I am NOT recommending anyone add diesel...
Clint,
Why not ask
Clint,
Why not ask for people to confirm that they are coming and to commit to paying the fee for the good site you found. If enough people confirm they will attend and you reserve the location, then ask everyone coming to pay ahead of time so that you don't get stuck with...
I found a photo on the internet that shows the vent line coming from the power steering reservoir connecting to the vent line on the timing cover. I'm not sure why they connected these two, but it is obvious that they did.
I have to disagree. I have purchased both vehicles and parts from Eastern. In all cases they were very easy to work with and accepted lower offers from me from prices that were already reasonable.
Check the voltage going to the gauge and make sure it is 24 VDC. It's a very simple circuit. 24 VDC goes into the gauge on one side and the wire coming out the other connector on the gauge goes directly to the sensor. Make sure the connections are good. If everything looks good, I would go...
