Have you downloaded the -24P TM? have you looked at this picture?
If it did not spark before you took it apart, and now sparks, there is only two possible answers. The wires are not hooked up Properly, or you put the starter back together wrong.

I took off the low oil pressure safety switch and it was visibly damaged. I have replaced the low oil pressure safety switch and was hopeful that would solve the issue.
Now with the new LOP safety switch installed, the low oil pressure fault light isn't on anymore, but now none of the fault...
I have one of each. I put a battery on the Recover mode, and let it work for a few days. Then hit it with an internal resistance tester. Then my Carbon Pile tester. Its always better to KNOW, then to Trust/Think something is good. The carbon Pile tester is also a good way to load the battery...
