Stumps, I totally get it. I'm not sure whether or not I'm going to paint Mah Deuce camo. Traveling down into Mexico and beyond, I'm thinking that it might not be a bad idea to distinguish it as NON-military.
OK. Who wants a set of hubsteps? I can sell them to SS members for $150/pr. unpainted, but including shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 - if we can get at least 25 sets pre-sold (but I won't take payment until they're ready to ship). That's about a cheap as I can make/sell these things, but at...
I spent some time this afternoon trying to figure out where I want to mount this Spinner II unit, and I ended up designing a mount very similar to JDToumanian's. The bracket is about 15" tall and it's offset to keep the centrifuge away from the turbo. The pictures where I'm holding the...
...unless you've got a centrifuge-type bypass oil filter. I just got a Spinner II for Mah Deuce after reading about them in another thread on this site. I'm right in the middle of a major service right now, changing ALL the fluids to Amsoil synthetics and investing in good filters, etc. Don't...
Pretty sure I've seen pics posted recently on here of a truck that was equipped with A3's mounted on rear hubs that were NOT flipped. It looked really narrow...
After adding the cabover rack to mah deuce, I had to paint all that tubing and sheetmetal to keep it from rusting, so I painted on side of it with these psychedelic hippie flames (the whole truck is going to get sand-blasted and re-painted).
But I think it would be pretty awesome to mount a...
The manual transmission and shifter linkage shouldn't present much of a problem. You can operate any manual transmission shifter remotely by controlling it with two morse-style push-pull cables (one to control front/back and one to control side/side movement). You can put the shifter anywhere...
Happened to my Grandpa. Years ago, someone had run off the road, and the guy asked my Grandpa to push him out. Then he sued my Grandpa for denting his bumper. Seriously. What an *******, huh?
That's good advice. Ask them to INDEMNIFY you.
Thanks for the info and opinions guys. I did paint some stuff today, and the air tanks ran down to 50-60psi, but seemed to hold there pretty well. I'm thinking that if I add a larger air tank that might help with recovery times. I'd like to know more about that turbine. Can you tell me what I...
OK. Got the pressure-cup regulator problem figured out. The regulator isn't labeled and the instructions said to hook the hoses up backwards in/out. Switched the hoses around and all is well.
Thanks for the tips about draining the tanks and checking for oil/water. I'd still like to get some...
OK. I need some help. Just bought one of these HVLP paint guns from Harbor Freight (part number 93305 if the link doesn't work). I've never used a paint gun before, and I'm not finding the instructions very helpful (typical HF). The instructions are actually so bad that they tell you to hook-up...
No, what I'm saying is that the stock deuce wheels are the same front and rear (size of the lug stud holes). It's only the lug nuts that are different. So... just put front lug nuts on the rear when you single out a rear axle. Right?
