Anyone with cargo on Arrow Truck Lines?

Oh wait, the economy is better! how could this happen? I'm going to go to the closest truck stops and see if there is anyone stuck, put them up for a night or feed them at least, buy a bus ticket at most.

    I win, http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/40941-what-can-m35a2-tow-2.html#post452874 690tons of locomotive and stone, uphill. That's 1,380,000lbs.

Preference: Air or electric trailer brakes?

I agree with the air, and you can get a trolley valve from an 818 to put in your deuce that you will tow the trailer with the most.

    5 ton rpm

Yep, sounds like air in the fuel lines. We have a locomotive with Cummins model B engines, and they will run away if they get an air leak! had it happen several times. That's why they took them out of OTR trucks long ago.

Bud Boy and I did our good deed today!

I don't want to ruin the spirit of this thread, but nowadays you have to be very careful helping people. I've almost been taken to court for 'damage' to a persons vehicle. I pulled an old fella out of a ditch one night, he offered me money too, and I refused. His greedy family must have said...

    on fender air cleaner

I bought a 5 ton setup from Winslow to do this, then I realized it weighs 75#. I started to picture going off road and the whole fender falling off. I haven't done it, so if anyone wants the air cleaner send me a pm and I'll sell it.

I'm pretty sure the wheel base is the same. I'm still interested in trading!

    Installed remote brake reservoir today

Hey Dan, The cap on the remote is vented. So it will act just like the vent tube on the MC. I just have to make sure I don't submerge the truck that high! I used a plug to plug the T connection where the other vent line ran.

    Installed remote brake reservoir today

Even though it was time consuming, I used to check it before I drove, every time. Now it will be so much quicker, makes it part of the walk around inspection.

    Installed remote brake reservoir today

Here is a link to Dabtl's post on the subject, and he has listed the part numbers. We both bought them from Pegasus Racing. http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/ http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/42401-remote-brake-fluid-reservoir-4.html#post475282 The tubing and fittings I got from Lowe's Home...

    Installed remote brake reservoir today

Hey guys. I thought you might want to take a peek at my remote reservoir setup that I just installed on the M109. I know others have done this upgrade, but I chose to do things a bit differently. I didn't like the rubber hose running under the cab. Also there was talk of some hoses don't play...

going to Coleman's again Friday 12/4

Thanks Mike. If you do get a chance to go back, I really need some marker lights, both amber and red. Whatever you happen to find. I see 6 on the HEMTT cab alone.

Got my first MV a M762 with a welder

Very nice! I've been looking for a portable welder myself. This is how it starts... My first MV was a m101 trailer. Welcome to the sickness. SS is like AA for army trucks, except we pass the bottle around at our meetings!!! :-D

    Historic EPA finding

the wife and I drive the m109 down to the local farmers market often. :-D I also try to eat only things produced locally. I see this as eventually becoming law, and then no more deuce driving. Then I'll finally have to convert mine to steam power...

    Gas station procedures

Hey Unforgiven, Welcome to the site! If you are pumping diesel, I wouldn't shut it off. I usually pull up to a truck stop pump when I can, and they leave their's idleing, so I do it too. It is easier on the engine, starter, your time, etc. there is only a start butten, no key or door locks...

    Georgia MV Title Problems

South Carolina has removed the authority for LEO's to do VIN verifications. Apparently some cops in the Greenville area were just signing them and handing them out, allowing anything to get a title. Now you have to bring the vehicle trailer into DMV so they can personally inspect it, for a...

    Need weight info for 818

The biggest difference with the 809 series winterization kits and the m44 series, is that the diverter box under the dash has the supply coming from the driver side on a m44 and the pass side on a 809. If you really want it, you can make either one fit. There are ways to do it, even mount the...

    Wet line 5 ton.

I've seen several like that tip at the steel mill. They will go if there is any wind too. I've had to help turn several back over.
