    Bid Collusion, Group Buys, etc

To put things in perspective, from wikipedia: "Bid rigging is an agreement between two or more competitors. It is a form of collusion, which is illegal in most countries. It is a form of price fixing and market allocation, and it involves an agreement in which one party of a group of bidders...

Yeah, get one of these Fords, still runs all by itself. :-)

    Old biodiesel

I agree with previous poster. Biodiesel by itself better be good for a year or more (got some stored in the basement and it smells and looks like fresh after a year or so). Water is a problem with any fuel, since algae may get a foothold. Biodiesel in B100 concentartion is not good below...

    Too Much Fuel?

Elevation here is 3,000 ft and driving to Nevada with a gross weight of 32,000 lb and hitting 7,000 ft plus, a couple of years ago, nothing out of the ordinary was noted. I keep the pyro below 1,200 °F by shifting down on long uphill drives. Bypassing the FDC without adjusting the fuel...

    arctic heater value

NDT, if you use that switch to shut down your heater, the purge cycle will be skipped and fuel will remain within the heater...something to consider when trying to restart it.

    Exhaust Brake?

I limit the exhaust back pressure to about 35 lb since there are no real guide lines to go by. It gives me about 50 hp of braking power for high RPMs....

    arctic heater value

The fuel burning heater is an independent system and needs a fuel pump, controller air ducts, exhaust piping in addition to the heater itself. Not that hard to install, procedures shown in -20 TMs. Old units that have been sitting around for decades may have maintenance issues, see earlier...

    Homebrew Deuce Headache Rack

About 15 gallons, Joel. You will need a filter/strainer also, perhaps a magnetic filter too, the standard HIAB tank has a large magnetic filter as part of the return fitting assembly (item 6 in the image below). Connection to the pump from the tank is not shown, it's in the bottom.

    Headlight alignment

Wheel alignment? It is the same procedure as with the deuce, just on axle at a time for the toe-in. The "tracking" is adjusted by adjusting one of the steering linkages.

    Power Line Safety

...I think I need a new sticker for my crane.....

    Headlight alignment

Yeah, a little, ran it for about 45 minutes, it's very smooth. Power steering and auto trans does make a difference.

    Headlight alignment

With warmer weather, the motivation returns and I spent some time yesterday on the headlight alignment on the xm757. It is actually easier to see the "hot spots" of the lights in daylight than in the dark...

    MRAP Alpha up close

Thanks Will, I am curious about the handling of the batteries in a vehicle designed for a very hot environment, the lead acid battery's worst enemy (short of bad maintenance)....

    Brake Switch Upgrade Kit

You'll find it in the PS magazine section....

Overhaul questions/ FDC bypass at Tooele? Always?

A couple of images that may clear things up a bit. The fuel line loop you see in the earlier images is just to take advantage of the parts already on the pump (IP). You can also use pipe plugs to seal off the FDC as indicated here. When the FDC is not used, the stop plate remains in "full fuel"...

Nice save Dan, bet that top is a rare item.

Hey Will, do you have a snap shot of the battery compartment, or did I miss it...?
