I've been thinking about making some type of attachment points to add to the frame and axles so that I could jack-up any of the back wheels/tires (or one whole axle) and use some type of cable/chain/strap to carry that wheel/tire or axle. The point would be that if I could drive with it like...
I was (halfway) kidding about selling it. For $1000, I'll probably keep it for a parts truck if the body, chassis and running gear are in good shape. Don't really see how I can go wrong, especially because the seller was cool enough to tell me that they wouldn't even mind storing it for a while...
$500 for the winch or $1000 for the whole truck. I don't really have the time to part it out right now though. Anybody want to buy an old gasser deuce for $1000 without a winch...
Hah. I'd like to see that. I think it sounds like the kind of thing that might be better to do quickly, like taking off a band-aid. If you winch it off slowly, it almost seems like you'd be more likely to damage the box when it tips forward as it comes all the way off.
I can give you a CAD blueprint/template with the exact dimensions of the window and all of the mounting holes. Print it out, trace it onto a piece of woo... whaamo. Yer done. Let me know how much you want for it.
I just made arrangements to buy a gasser winch truck, but it's about 250 miles away so I'm trying to decide whether to try to drive/tow it home or just pull/swap the parts I need (complete winch setup and hardtop). The owner will let me keep the truck there for a while if I want to just pull...
Can I buy the front window out of it? It's a different size than the rest of them and I really need one for the motorhome conversion I'm building right now. The front window frame screws into place, so you won't even have to drill any rivets.
I found this thread searching for 'rivets'. Yeah, there were a lot of results to sift through. I need to replace some of the rivets in the box on my M109. What's the best way to go about that and what tools do I need?
Thanks. That's what I was asking. I just wanted to make sure that I could install a winch and PTO from a gasser in a multi. I think I just bought a parts truck...
