Interesting TM...surprised to see the "transient suppressor" (MX-7777) left out of the installation. CARNAC, do you have any of them for sale, I did get a couple of cables for them at Aberdeen from you, but don't remember if you had any of the units themselves?
The "Premium Tractor Hydraulic" fluid that I decided on for my Allison trans in the xm757 8x8 meets the "C-4" specifications, but has a much lower viscosity rating than the 15W-40, about 6 cps at 100°C (or equivalent to a 10W engine oil).
So what role does the viscosity play here?
Dabtl, you are getting a tachometer adapter from me (a little delay in shipping, guess I could blame the holidays..), the speedo adapter is mounted on the transfer case and has a ratio, which must be specified for 900 or 1100 tires, whichever you are running.

One gallon of fuel will raise the level about 1/4 inch in the tank. Add more fuel and make sure that all filters are drained and bled.
You may want to drain the tank first to eliminate any possibility of water too.....
I have been toying with the idea of using one of these motorized aircraft fuel valves. They are good to 50 psi and close in less than three seconds. Diameter is perfect for the multifuel engine air intake (4 inch opening)....
Yeah, I have much better performance in the naturally aspirated engine.....the intake manifold is wider and the airflow slower. It's possible that the intake manifold for the turbo with its smaller cross section and faster air flow simply snuffs out the flame....
A tenth of an inch is 100...
A good way to check the condition of your batteries is to compare the results from a specific gravity test and a open circuit voltage test. If they don't agree, then the batteries are most likely sulfated.
Great workmanship as always, Gary.
Thank you!
Now, if the digital light switch (3-lever sub) could be switched off also, some of them may be saved also. :-)
The booster pump on the IP generates about 50-60 psi when the engine is running, wonder if it produces some suction.....time for some measurements. :-)
I use a Racor turbine filter as a primary on the 8x8 and do see some swirling action from time to time....
If the battery voltage drops below about 22 volts (into the red zone of the gauge), stop cranking or you may burn up the starter too.
I have noticed that there will be an air pocket in the lines whenever the truck sits for a week or more, it may be a good idea to always bleed the fuel lines...
Good progress Chris!
About the control box, trying to "seal" it is a mistake, it has a rubber gasket for the connector and can never be sealed. You need to vent your new one, should be an 1/8 NPT plug on the bottom side somewhere. Open it and leave it open.
If you try to seal a printed circuit...
Was cutting the fuel supply your only plan or did you try to cover the air intake also? Just wondering, wouldn't a "runaway" by definition get fuel from a different source other than the fuel line?
Timed out while looking for images and can't edit my post by adding images, so here are the images that go with the above post. (couldn't even copy the typed message after I timed out to start a new post!).
Yeah, the holding coil of the solenoid is grounded externally on these starter motors.
About the slave cable to the missile, the 757 supplied 24 vdc and also had a 10KW genset for power to it. Don't know how the power was used, but the "Pershing" slave receptacle is on the rear of the...
