Hey Scott, no problem. I have gotten so much off of SS in terms of knowledge so it is only appropriate to give back. I post all of my ideas to hopefully help/inspire others with their projects. Now some of my ideas may not be the best and may not turn out down the road. It's all trial and...
I have bought from GL several times and will continue to buy from GL. One thing you need to understand is this is all government surplus. Some good some bad with really no fault of GL (in most cases). They are the acting middleman to get rid of gov't surplus as I said before some good and some...
Unbelievable cant believe we're only days away from what we've been waiting all year for. Please make sure we all do our safety checks.lets keep it as safe as we can out there. Took my truck out yesterday to find one of my bearings cooking.luckily I have enough time to fix it.
So it would be safe to say all split brake deuces have the parking brake warning light. However not all parking brake indicator equipped trucks have split brakes
The parking brake warning dash light just went along with the upgrade made from 87 and later.also along with the upgrade was the split brake circuit.many times before people associate the dash light as an indicator to split brakes which is not so.the only sure way is by knowing the actual build...
Haha, I see a trend here Aaron. Is Ed out painting his truck as well? I'm about 98% done with mine. Still need to get the van roof and hood black reapplied then I'll be good to go.

Well apparently the case of Gillespie rattle cans from RAPCO wasn't enough to complete the job. With the Third Annual PNW Steelsoldier Parade/Convoy looming in the shadows I had to act quick. I went to RAPCO to rush order another case of paint...DOH, ground shipping only!! Well that doesn't...
Outstanding my friend!!! Thank you so much for posting this thread. Definately will help out when I order paint. In fact I almost submitted my RAPCO order about 20 min but decided to stop to see if the color was what I wanted. I was hoping to find some Gillespie painted trucks with the color I...
Actually I was looking for freshly painted trucks. Just trying to see what the Gillespie paint looks like fresh. My truck is looking a bit faded like those pics. I found this on the back door of a M109A3 up at Fort Lewis and this got me going on the idea.
Funny looking at non-faded MERDC...
Hey guys I see tons of threads of guys painting to match the 3 color NATO camo pattern. Anyone paint their deuces with the 4 color camo pattern AKA MERDC?. I'm planning on repainting my '88 A2C but would like to see what she looks like after a nice paint job. Will end up painting the PU-650B/G...
