Difference between M35A3 and M923? couple more questions from a newbie

No difference between M44A3 and M35A3. The M44 desigation is basically like the series. Ie: M35A2, M109A3, M185A3 all fall under M44A2. Whereas the M44A3 has the M35A3, M109A4, M185A4 (if that even exists). Each series has their characteristics. The M44A2 has the Multifuel engine. The M44A3...

    PU-650B/G Restoration (MEP-006A)

That's correct. I shot the paint straight using an airless Wagner power sprayer I got from Home Depot. I painted my M109A3, M35A2, and now the genny. It has worked flawlessly.

    1968 JK M35A2 Restoration Project!

After the technical difficulties with the Home Depot formula mix up, I went down to Home Depot to question the labels they placed on the last batch of paint. They agreed they put the wrong label on my last batch of green and apologized. I had them pull up my green formula and had them mix up a...

    PU-650B/G Restoration (MEP-006A)

Painting is now complete. Wasn't going to touch it on my couple days off, but the 77 degree weather was all too tempting. Made a quick trip to Home Depot for my Behr 383 Green CARC Substitute. Had her painted in about 2 hours. The pics you see below are with a 4:00 PM sun beating down on her...

Difference between M35A3 and M923? couple more questions from a newbie

Completely different animals all together. M35A3-2.5 ton truck, air/hydraulic brakes, typically no CDL required. M923-5 ton truck, full air brakes, CDL. Though the M923 is a big animal it drives easier than my 2001 3/4 ton Dodge Cummins. I will own a 923 someday soon;-)

    Understanding Deuces

You can see the air shift lever just under the instrument cluster. I only say stay away from SPRAG from personal experiences of them going out. Also, the countless stories of guys who drove these trucks when they were the used. I was told the SPRAG not working was the major reason why many...

    Understanding Deuces

My biggest recommendation is NOT to buy a deuce with a SPRAG transfer case...just my personal thing I guess.

    1968 JK M35A2 Restoration Project!

Man I'm sorry about that. I didn't bother to check to verify home depot put the correct labels on the lids. I just assumed they were correct with the paint blotch on the label.

    PU-650B/G Restoration (MEP-006A)

You pay for the fuel and you can listen all you want...LOL. These things make me really nervous when they start up. It doesn't seem right to have the RPM's jump up so far so fast. It would be just like jumping in your deuce, hitting the start button, and throwing her close to 2000 RPM's without...
