    MEP804a Under Voltage Shut Off?

That's why Evvy's suggestion of a film is good stuff. The under volt light is probably a sign that the Engine RMP has fallen past the lower RPM threshold, and the gen set kicks out the K1. Then the K5 relay kicks in to turn on the Fault light.

    Mep802a starts then shuts off

There are, I was told, more A models, then B models. But in my experience, I saw way more B models. @dewy38 might know the real numbers.

    MEP804a Under Voltage Shut Off?

Do you have a DMM, Multimeter that reads hertz? If so, plug it in the 120 volt outlet. Turn it on to read hertz. Start the set. Set the hertz to 60 hertz. Watch the DMM. Is the DMM reading gone, RIGHT now or does it go down slow? Then the under volt light comes on?

AMMPS MEP-1030 5KW Generator List of Part Numbers

Mike, why dont you put this info in a spread sheet form. Lock it so people can not change things, and we can make it a sticky. When ever you have an update, you can unlock it, and change it.

MEP004A DC Circuit Interrupt trip issue

Mike, You need to start your own thread, for a problem on your gen set. Its simply too hard for folks to follow several people in the same thread. The link below will take you to the TM Forum, and it has the TM's for the MEP-004A...

    Mep802a starts then shuts off

Rick, Yes the TQG family has computers in them. The MEP-805B and MEP-806B are computer controlled. Below is a picture of the control panel, of a partly disassembled Gen set. Take note of the CIM screen.

    Mep802a starts then shuts off

Perhaps you need to look at the MEP-805B and the MEP-806B. They are also part of the TQG family. They have computers in them.

MEP 805B fuel spraying into electric governor actuator, is this normal? Question to our Engine experts

Three ways. If it starts, start it and let it run. Crack the screw, and look at the flow. By crack, I mean just a wee bit open. When you see only fuel, and no bubbles, tighten it up. If it will not crank, go to the Fuel Supply pump on the engine. It has a small arm on it, for you to pump like...

    My M1009 won't start

I spent two days working on a gen set, because I believed that the fuel cut off solenoid was good, because it clicked.

    Mep802a starts then shuts off

OK, let try to get on here. The LOP, (MT7) is not your problem. That's why I have asked if you have the TM's. In the Operators TM, it explains that on start up, CB1 pushed in, S7 not engaged, S1 Turned to the START position, the gen set bypasses several safety functions. LOP is one of them. So...

MEP 805B fuel spraying into electric governor actuator, is this normal? Question to our Engine experts

Like Scooby mentioned, most have them in the fuel bath. But every one I can remember was encapsulated in plastic.

    My M1009 won't start

Just because the solenoid clicks, is no reason to BELEVE it works. Its a good sign, but have seen on gen sets, solenoids that clicked, and did not let fuel by.

Slave plug for MEP genset - cost effective options(?)

Tape works just fine. But don't be cheap with it. Tape is way more less expensive then a connector.
