    The Military will not make a TM for an alternator. Any info about an alternator would be in the TM for the vehicle it is installed on.

    Mark, Do you have TM's? When looking for parts, it helps giving folks the right info, and a part # with NSN, sure helps. Also, posting in the "Parts Wanted" forum is a good thing.

    First get the right voltage and freq. readings, then troubleshooting can be done. Dont jump into buying an inverter you dont need, if your voltage is wrong then maybe K15 isnt closing properly and you cant close the contactor. You need to print this out, and hang it on the wall.

    Something else to consider. If it starts to happen again, then it could be something in the fuel tank. Something floating around. When the set is running, it might take a while for the trash to be sucked up into the fuel tube. And a little bit longer for the engine to run dry. But on restart, it...

    Take a flashlight and shine in into the fuel tank. See if it looks clean or funky. What did the old filter look like?

    That could be a fuel supply problem. Have you changed fuel filter and maybe looked at the tank since you got this set?
