So. I'm wiring my U.K. trailer up the M62 wrecker. As the turn indicators are the brake lights. on U.S. vehicles and The turns are seperate on E.E.C. vehicles. I spent all day altering the wiring, and ended up with a seprate Socket for E.E.C. Trailers, and left the orriginal U.S. trailer socket...
Now that's a nice find..its the rarely seen ones that are crowd pullers. That will be a fine project to bring back to spec. Keep us all posted on progress.
wow.. hope you have a good fix...about two years ago a Turbo blew on my 5 ton..and resulted in the worst jouney ever!we were towing a deuce..and with zero oil pressure and no oil..we "siphoned" oil from the deuce for the 5 ton. and then the journey the rest of the home was Terrible! about 5-8...
safety first
I always tow at 40 mph or less. My deuces also have "Emergeancy" glad hand couplings at front to assist in braking. On soft going (into a show field) we have a driver steer assisting the towed vehicle.
Legal issues here are, LIGHT connect between vehicles. Brake ( air) assist...

I picked up my 100 gallons of aqtf today..Free to collect! and I also run my F350 Abulance ( in fact..Everything cep't the DOG n KAT ! run on it!) on the mix..runs really nice.

Yep I found ou the hard way..and tho' there were correct fuses in the units..they popped before I twigged what was happening. The p.s. Like you I was "down the road" too! lol..at 54...riverside...camp pendleton, also greenham and upper heyford amonst others. Had the bug for things green...

Or a P.S. I forgot to mention On all the trucks We also have a heavy duty "master switch"(es) on the posative side(s) of the switch(es) to the 12 volt accessories using the last battery.(ies).

Safe cutoff switch
All my trucks have the cut off isolator switches on the posative + power side of the battery (ies).
The logigical reasoning here is that. (a) On these trucks (not chevies dodges some fords etc WITH ECUs etc Which would fail "memory in the computer update running performance...
