M105 Spare Tire
Did some work to the 105 project a couple days ago. I mounted my spare tire. The job isn't done yet. I still need to drill holes for the bottom two bolt holes in the mount. The tire sits a bit lower than desired but I could always drop the tire if need be.
The spare tire mount...
Window Tinting Cab
Today I did something that went completely against my rules for this build. I deviated from mil-spec and tinted the cab windows. I had some tint left over from doing a job on my 2004.5 VW GLi. This is something I've been pondering for sometime. Today was the day to get this...
Yah, those leaks are really common. Two years ago I cleaned the end up really good and put some RTV in there. Hasn't leaked since. Probably should get around to changing out the two O-rings in there.
No problem;-) I get the majority of my parts from 2 sources:
Erik's Military and Industrial Surplus - Military Vehicle Parts, Industrial and Military Surplus Electronics
Saturn Surplus --> Saturn Surplus on the Web!
Your truck looks real sharp with those 395's. I'm thinking 1 spare should be OK. However, if you're thinking about bugging out in her. I may want to have at least two spares.Have you tried putting a 395 in it's current spare tire location? I've seen a couple pics of guys just getting by putting...
Haha, need to get those pizza cutter tires updated on your trailer Scott;-) Couldn't help but notice the irony of your 07JUN post.
"...drag the trailer out from behind the WMO hahah" and your 3rd pic is you pulled up to a fuel station island8-)
Thanks for the stack dimensions. I've been...
Hmm, looks like they either removed the stop ring on the threaded shaft -or- they replaced the housing with a secondary/final housing. Is there a spot for a stop ring half way down the middle threaded shaft? You can probably just run with that set up.
The little filter goes into the primary fuel filter housing. The reason it's short because that is the collection point for most of the water in your fuel. There is a spring/adapter inside the housing
speaking of kids. I kept the bench seat in for them. I added a middle seatbelt on the bench. My two occupancy deuces are now all 3 occupancy;-). My son and daughter love driving up front with daddy;-). Checked with my WSP friends and they said no problem;-)
The cheapest place I have found the PTO's is White Owl. Last time I paid $240 shipped. Good on you for the NOS shaft. Does your truck have the winch shifter lever in the cab?
Scott was saying you're after a PTO winch shaft. I've seen them on ebay for $100 shipped. The ones at the scrap yard do not have the u-joint on the PTO end. Typically they want $40 alone for that part.
