    Compressed Gas Cylinder Safety

The flammability range for acetylene is between 2.5-100% in air, so it has a VERY good change of igniting if there's any ignition source.

    Distracted driving

It's actually been shown that making texting illegal actually makes it worse!! People hold their phones down in their laps so it can't be seen by LEO's, but the result is that they are now looking down and have NO peripheral vision when doing that. And having devices that disable phones in a...

    Split Rim Safety

I don't have any problem changing tire on deuce rims, but I add a 50' section to the end of the tire pressure gauge. I can be within eyesite to see when it seats, but far enough way that I'm out of the line of fire. That and the chain give a nice safety factor. Don't forget safety glasses and...

Anybody interested in steps for a deuce?

Update, just waiting for a final price from the shop. I'll repost and put an ad up when I get the final word.

Anybody interested in steps for a deuce?

I don't know how the steps on a 923 compare to deuce steps, so I can't really say. But I'm going to talk to the guy Monday and have several sets made up. I planned on drilling the mounting holes myself to save a buck, but if you can measure the mounting brackets to see if they'd fit, I could...

    Deuce Jack Safety Questions

Use a smaller bottle jack and jack stands. The total weight of an empty deuce is only 13,500 or so. You likely won't be lifting half of that unless you're loaded, even then you're okay. Higher capacity is nice if it fits, but you're way over what you need. I use an 8 ton jack and 6 ton jack...

    Please clean your chimneys

I generally just replace my dryer vent line every 5 years, except for the actual vent in the exterior wall. That I just blow out with compressed air from the inside. The vent line is cheap enough that I'm not going to waste time, and the mess to clean them.

    Please clean your chimneys

That's fine if you can put them in from the TOP. They DON'T work from the bottom because you can't get the powder to effectively disperse. It usually takes several bags, and if not done right can make a real mess in the house. You DO NOT want that powder to get into electronics, it's corrosive.

    Recovery strap/tow strap

If I can't pull something out easily the first time, I'll spend some time jacking the vehicle up out of the mud or digging it out some. I want to have as little resistance as possible when I pull. You're less likely to damage something or hurt someone that way. Brute force should be the last...

    M35A2 fuel cap

You might have to email or call places like Eastern or Memphis. Just google the part number and that might get a hit. Some parts just aren't listed on their sites because there's so many different parts. And you may be able to just get a new gasket for it.

transport a m3 halftrack from Connecticut to Georgia

I can't haul it, but I sure could store it for you! :tank:

    Winch Safety and Recovery Dangers

5 minutes with a shovel would've fixed that. Less time that it would take to run out and wind back up all that cable. Some people just have to do it the complicated way.

M35A2 Frame Up Restore Labor of Love

VERY NICE! I'm not going anywhere near as far as you did, I hope mine looks at least half as good. On a related note, anyone notice that the hardtop liner looks just like the same material that PT mats are made out of?? Hmmmm...

    Something concerning in the TM

Don't worry, when an engine is starting to run away, your little Jiminy Cricket on you shoulder will be telling you to "RUN, FORREST, RUN!!! An engine that is starting to run away is readily apparent, and should scare the bejeebus out of any normal person, who will automatically get the ****...

    rotating safety light

Strobes pretty much suck. Especially amber. LED's are the way to go, they're WAY brighter. Yeah, a little pricy, but they also last longer. And they now make a "rotating" LED.

    Storage / Parking

Yeah, but MV's don't smell that bad either. I wouldn't want to live next to a bunch of snobs with codes out the whazoo. I know some places that have to get permission from an arborist to cut down dead trees, and I mean the bark is falling off.
