I am in need of a good air horn solenoid, purchased two over the course of the year and both turned out to be bad.
Let me know how much $$ for your old one...
Thanks,
Yesterday, I painted the top portion of the bikini top white as seen in the images here. It worked very well on the deuce to keep the cab temp from rising above ambient by reflecting the sun's rays.
It can't be seen from the ground, so it doesn't deter from the original look of the vehicle.
(The...
If I were looking for a shelter without the wheel well cut-outs, what model(s) should I search for?
Image shows a typical one.
Thanks.
(This may not be the right category, but we don't have one for shelters...)
Re: RE: Wheel cleaning standards
...or put a smaller shelter behind the crane and lift it on and off as needed.
Thanks for the info on the wheel cleaning.
For a tubeless tire, what are the best ways to clean the rim portion of the wheel(s)?
Since the rubber must make an airtight seal against the metal, are there any no-nos when getting rid of old paint an rust in this area?
Thanks.
Like you said, fuel filters would be my first check also.
I'm also curious, let us know, please.
(Remember to add some oil to the new diesel fuel for lubricity).
I started to buy an 8x8 truck bed from Idaho Motor Pool, but gave up when transport costs would double or tripple the cost of it getting it back to VA.....
Found a picture of my test set up. There are two solenoids on the valve, one shuts off the fuel and one controls the "LO" and "HI" flow rate. I have them operated independently of the control box here with jumper leads to 24vdc and ground.
The fuel pump is not visible, but is running continously...
Ernie, I removed the system before it was fully tested, but did get a few psi after about 15 strokes.
The suction hose was only a 3/8 dia hose and the pump was made for a 1" one, so it wasn't optimized.
One of the features of the -2 engine is a higher capacity oil pump and pressure comes up in...
Do a search, there are lots of posts, for example:

I would suggest that you test the fuel control valve to begin with. Hook it up to the fuel pump and loosen the output tubing so that you can...
I'd say that one could probably very easily put all that in a small "black box" solid state wise except for the power relay for the pump....
Ernie, if you think pushing a button is a PITA, you'd hate this. :-)
...or like this. Notice that the rear half of the manifold ("R") gets warmer quicker. Revving the engine results in even readouts, though.
Devin, I'm getting closer to a test run and will post the findings.
