    Pyro Probe installation

The distance from the outside surface of the manifold to the center is about 1-1/2 inches, so between 1 and 1-1/2 inches should be about right.

    Canvas for the xm757

Thanks Andy, the canvas and grommets were purchased fresh from Weebee webbing (odcloth.com). I used a printer cable of all things for the front edge. It happened to be the correct diameter. :-)

Yes Ryan, there is already a crossmember behind the seats to support a tonneau type cover (sort of part of the original cabtop). The M37 is a 1953 model, which belongs to my son. He worked on since about age 12 and drove it to and from HS later....

Deuce W/W for sale in North Georgia

Wow Joel, this is a surprise, but good luck! I'm sure you have your reasons....

Top was dry enough to handle by 15:00 hrs, so I just had to try it on. Images show the result.....

Right, only glue (Goop) and the grommets. The deuce top is still like new, but then, I do keep it covered at all times unless the truck is driven.

    The Skinny on 24087

Had to complete the comparison. This is after everything is dry. Randy, it is a blast to drive, still haven't left my yard, but the power steering and auto trans plus the suspension gives me a feeling of floating across the bumps.

Well, got the top finished and went ahead and painted it in a Gillespie Field Drab color (not neccessarily the final color). I plan to make the top portion white like I did the top for the deuce, which helps keep the cab cool. The white is not very noticable from the ground (see avatar).

    Injector lines..R/R or repair?

The fittings are sealed by the ferrule, any mis alignment or dirt can cause a leak.

Okay, the result from re-painting a small area a year later. Rattle can was used for everything. It started to rain, that's the reason for the cover and some of the differences.

    The Skinny on 24087

The Aervoe 997B (24084 Vietnam era OD) is relatively new, not generally listed or stocked, got my supply from Alan Haage in NJ. I'm very satisfied, the paint is also very hard and resists repeated walking on, like the top of the front bumper. I'll spray an area with fresh paint for comparison...

Newbie's First Deuce - A gutsy Pick-up or Just Plan Stupid?

Good detective job Kenny! Is this s/n location spelled out in any TM, would it be the same (location) for other vehicles?

My Aervoe 997B paintjob is now over a year old and it is still unfaded.... Perhaps rattlecan paint is formulated differently (that's what I use).

Can't help you with your problem, but what's the road speed with those tires? Thanks,

Worked on the cab top again, adding reinforcement strips and eyelets... The Goop silicone adhesive is incredible strong, spent a couple of hours with an Exacto knife separating about 18 inches of a glued, folded edge to be re-glued to allow for shrinkage. The Goop is a little hard to work with...
