My build, although very slow at this point, is detailed here:

At this point in the build, my main emphasis is getting the platform prepped first. I currently have the starboard van panels torn out to recaulk the panel...
Chalkboard black paint in the rattle cans is absolutely the flattest black I have seen. I bought mine at Home Depot. Stuff is as flat as CARC. Not sure what the long term finish will look like but it looks great so far (5 months). As far as technique, overspray edges is what you're after...
Wow, I think I'll stay right where I am in Washington State. Hmm, $125 ONE TIME fee for collector plates. I pay less than $1/day for insurance on them.
Awesome, I love recovery stories like this. It's great to share the moment with your son. I have done it several times now. Great bonding time. Now you'll have plenty of bonding moments while doing your Preventive Maintenance. Now you just need to get one more truck:razz: and a couple...
One of my friends converted his truck to an airshift as well. He bought one of these kits and he said it basically had everything you needed. He did need to buy some airline as this kit didn't come with it. More than likely it doesn't come with instructions. Have you checked the TM section for...

The chassis handle I have on my '86 and '88 trucks have these rounded chassis handles like yours. Also it was pretty standard of the USAF to lack the pioneer tool racks as well. I don't know she just looked like a late model M35A2C.
Here's a pic with a faint circle around the handles
Ahh, forget the tree. You got one great looking truck. I like the nice sharp lines on the camo. Did you paint that truck? Hmm are you sure on the date of your A2C? Looks like you have a later model USAF contract truck. The reason I say this is the chassis handles are indicative of a 1986-1988 AM...
Thanks for sharing this post my friend. You just gave me the added ammo to get rid of my wifes' '06 Caravan. I've been trying to convince her to get a 1999 or earlier Diesel Suburban and a CUCV for winter driving:smile: My argument is all the plastic and lack of any good sheet metal on the...
