Today, I had some time to tackle something that has been bugging me. I know these vans tend to leak. Albeit my truck doesn't appear to have too bad of a leak. I have a few dry rotted boards that I pulled...uh, rather I scooped up. I found that due to the inherit angle of the truck, the leak...
Outstanding! The only thing about a low hour truck like mine is several rubber parts need to be replaced. I've got a few seals that decided to let go:-0. Oh well, it's a labor of love.
Trucks looks great! Looks like you have a mid '80's truck. Here's a pic of mine;-) I have been concentrating on the mechanicals and drivetrain. Next step is to get that van up to speed. Need to get a couple leaks taken care of in the box first. Then I'll tackle the electric portions and get...
You can buy the airshift switch kit on ebay for like $40 or so. I checked ebay and didn't see anything offered. They are typically described as Airshift rebuild kits or Airshift upgrade kits.
Gees, is that all you've done to your goat in one week? Come one, let's get motivated and dedicated!!! LOL, wow I'll be watching this thread closely. That is one good looking Goat. Can't wait to see the final product[thumbzup]
Great projects. Any new updates? Sorry for my lack of knowledge but what is that thing you're using to charge the in van batteries? Does it completely isolate the charge from the alternator to the van batteries/battery compartment batteries? What did you use for switching between the two? I...
I've got the VIC-1 in all 3 of my deuces. Looks great and sounds great. The system is pretty bulky with cables running here and there. However those are bonuses for me. I wanted a military look and feel to my truck. Funny thing is that is the first thing people are drawn to in my truck...
Congratulations!! Welcome aboard! Trucks looks great. When you planning on getting deuce #2? I'm sure it's going through your mind...don't worry it's natural.8)
I found this install as tedious as changing a front axle boot. It is definately a test of patience. So much so I failed on the first one so I installed a second one on another truck....still failed:-) Now I just need to find a lonely ring mount somewhere.
Welcome aboard Gresh. We may be able to work out an earlier date for a mini-rally of some sort. Just need to coordinate a time and place. Any ideas gentlemen?
roger that, yah you'll need to coordinate pickup on your non-EUC items. Good idea to contact that GL office to see if you can make arrangements to keep your non-EUC items there while you wait on your trailer. Some GL offices will do that and others well...
It's my understanding that running WMO or anything other than taxed Diesel or Gasoline will give you a pretty steep ticket. That's coming from my friend a WSP officer. The gov't wants his tax money especially right now amid the funding cuts.
