Glad you made it alright!
About the leg thing, on a long drive I alternate using left and right foot on the pedal. :-)
About registration, shouldn't be a problem, just have your insurance papers on hand.
Hydraulic oil labeled AW32 may be misleading, it actually has a viscosity of about 10 when compared to engine oils, not 32....
Lee, about your statement, "Once they get to running, its "summer time" in the crank case. I would use 20w or even 30w, but just put enough heat on the engine till when...
Hmmm...I may have been hasty in my assumption...did you replace the contacts in the solenoid or did you let it be? The contacts handle several hundred amps and arcing help make the contact by "burning" off oxides in the process. When not energized, they are separated by 1/8 inch or so.
Was the...
Tractor hydraulic oil has the same viscocity as 10 weight engine oil and meets the spec called out by GM (from reading labels at least).
Got some destined for my 8x8 Allison transmission...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Design Change between 1952 and 1953?
As a compromise, why not give reference to a particular TM and even a page and/or paragraph to help out when suggesting to "look in the TM", at least it won't leave the person cold and perhaps feeling a bit unwelcomed.
I would leave the connection between the battery and starter motor terminal intact, since it's extremely unlikely that the solenoid relay contact would cause any drain. Place the switch in the circuit after this terminal and reduce the current rating requirements for the switch by a factor of...
Re: RE: LDS-465-1A in a gov M35A2???
Hi David, do you have any reference to this for us mortals to see, thanks? :-)
I'd like to see the reason(s) by the numbers....
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Design Change between 1952 and 1953?
I agree wholeheartedly with Ron and Clinto on this, even when I know the subject is in the TM, finding it can be a real problem and all TMs don't have the same coverage as stated above...... sharing info is what this site is all about...
That is why it shouldn't be done this way, driving without headlights is not particularily safe, just get out on the road at night and turn them off for a while and you'll know what I mean. :-)
Not sure why a relay is needed at all and if you use one, check the spec for "lamp loads", over 100...
There is a stop light, they'll turn it green when they see you and you won't even have to come to as stop most likey. Like I said there are two scales along your route (red dots, image below) and they may not even be open, The big sign before the entrance to the station will tell you.
I had a...
Re: RE: Processing WVO. What to do with by-products?
Red Devil lye has been pulled from the shelves in our area, but this is available at home improvement centers, plumbing section (100% Sodium Hydroxide).
Similar, but different shell size. There are probably 10,000 or more combinaions of these connectors.
You will need to replace the inserts in the ones I sent you....
