Don't know how cold it will get at night in February, but when I had my Medium Tent, a small wood stove was used to keep it cozy when the weather turned cold...may be something to think about.
RE: Re: Slave Receptical Rebuild
I haven't actually installed a contact yet, for smaller connectors, there is an "insertion" tool, a thin walled tubular tool, which grabs the contact by its shoulder so that no stress is applied to the wire/cable connection when installed. Don't know if one is...
The contacts (sockets) are normally installed from the rear of the plug, not sure that you could have gotten them thru and out the front with cables attached.
As a matter of fact, just take a 1/4" dia rod and knock the sockets out from the front, no need to remove the rubber plug.
Pressing new...
RE: Re: RE: Turn signal flasher question
Nice unit!
The first "transistorized" units were very heavy duty and actually used a 50 amp SCR to do the switching, they were good enough to cause a circuit breaker to trip in case of a shorted load, unlike todays' version.
In defense of the newer...
Looking real good, you guys should make it a permanent camp for travelers and have trails open all year for test driving our MVs.....
Is that "J" in one of the images Kenny, say hi, from me?..... Adrian is still in California.
Thanks Gary, that's the reason for this thread, to find out what it looks like in real life (the radio off decal). I'll let you know when something developes. :-)
Gimpy, the part numbers for the connectors will be MS3101A12S-3S or MS3102A12S-3S depending on if you want cable to cable or cable to box type.
The cable clamp you'll need for the 3101 is MS3057-4A.
I don't have any of the 12S size and no single pin weatherpacks either.
Find the weatherpack...
On the multifuel, at least, the inlet is right above the water pump and the outlet is above the starter motor. That's the best I can do at the moment, the illustration in the TM is not very clear.
Find the weatherpack connector here:

Meanwhile, what is the number molded into the insert of the 2-pin MS connector? If it's a 14S-9P, then I have a mate for it right here....
Be more specific, please, I'm sure I can help you with the MS types.....
The connector, which plugs into the control box is MS3106A18-11S plus cable clamp.
The color coded wires and the weatherpack connector indicate newer (not 1960-'70) manufacture.
For the MS connectors, get the numbers off the inserts, shouldn't be too much trouble finding mates. I may have an old weatherpack catalog, but they are probably on the internet anyhow....
I should...
