    Shocks

Ace, kick back like when one of the front tires meets up with a large object causing the steering wheel to make a very fast left or right turn...ouch! never thought of making a set up for the deuce. Suppose it could be done, you'd just need to find out the travel that the tie rod makes.

    Looking for advice

Winch, or not? Gonna do lotsa miles, or not? Work, or play? Are you machanically inclined, or not? Read the operators manual, read thru some of the posts here. There are some stickies at the top of the deuce section, read those. Do not be afraid to ask questions. All the people here started as...

    Air pressure release????

It won't blow off. It will just stop building PSI at around 90 PSI. Could go higher, depending on what the gov. is set at. Todays trucks cut out at around 120-130 PSI and cut in at around 85-90 PSI. 90 PSI is normal operating pressure for the deuce. It would be easy to add an air dryer if you...

    Compressor Regulator Question

They are very easy to disassemble and assemble. If it cuts out between 85 and 120 and cuts back in at around 60 to 90, you're good. Like John said, if after it sits a few mins, you heart a "pop" at the air governer, it's normal. The best way to see how it is put together, is to take it apart...

I think I put the wrong gear lube in the transmission

Remember, these things were built when MT1 was the best there was. As long as you use an oil that has an MT1 rating...yellow metals, like the synchros, you will be fine. It should be an 85/90wt though.

Air compressor hot / how does it oil

no oil I agree, Steve. If you didn't wash the comp. out with brake clean, it looks like it had no oil in it. I think Saturn has the correct gasket. It is a permaseal type...meaning it has a small bead of silicone based sealant around the gasket. It requires no other sealer. The P/N on the one...

    Muffler info wanted

Just look to see if there are any holes in the bottom of it that aren't supposed to be there. There might be a small hole in it from the factory for drainage.

OK, here's an update. Chuck has decided to do the event again. The dates are June 5th thru the 7th. He has asked for a $10.00 donation for adults this year, kids are free..this is to help him pay for the port-a cans and dumpster. I think the dates are off a day...the 5th is a Thursday...i'll...

    Muffler info wanted

Try here Bjorn, http://www.dynaflexproducts.com/downloads/DP_Catalog.pdf I think the mufflers start on pg 95. Maybe the style 88Q will work. The ends are the slip/clamp type, but, somewhere in that catalog, there are the flanges like are used on the multi exhaust that can be welded onto the...

    Kenworth 8x8 XM1074 PLS

Re: RE: Kenworth 8x8 XM1074 PLS Depends on what year it was built. The XT engines were great. The older 444's were a bit on the un reliable side. If it is CPL 806 or an early 910, watch out. They eat cams, break lower follower shafts, bend and break injector push tubes, soot the oil heavily...

    M105A2 brakes... Now FIXED!

RE: M105A2 brakes... HELP! Mine did that too. Pulled it apart, only 1 shoe was moving, the front. Everything was in good shape, but the BFS had just solidified. I just honed and cleaned everything up and put it back together and gave it a good adjustrment. The tires lock up now if you romp on...
