As far as if they fit different trucks, when I was searching it was indicated they would not fit, but I'm not 100% either way. I haven't seen a CUCV with troops seats up close to look since I installed my troop seats.

For what it's worth, the CUCV II/Navy Chevy truck that my unit in Korea picked up from DRMO, had a master kill switch in it. The drain was bad enough that if you left it for a few hours you could get to a no start condition.

IT depends. I have had luck with registration numbers in the database I have access to, however, it's not great earlier than the 70s or so. But, I have found stuff into the late 40s in there.

The numbers you see are the registration number for the truck. There are 2 numbers that identify the truck, the serial number and the registration number. you Should have a data plate that shows the serial number, reg number, Date of Mfr/Delivery...
