Pintle measurements sound ok. Ideally you want to be straight, but I'm guessing you have the straight out pintle from TSC or Nothern Tool or similar.

considering how much trouble a guy gets in for a few rounds of ammunition, I wouldn't be driving an Army truck across the border. Mexico has MUCH stricter controls on military grade surplus/equipment due to the cartels.
Yeah, they're used to tie stuff down in C17s and such (only time I've personally seen them used). Guessing they did an op and during 'extract' from the aircraft they got thrown in instead of left on board.
