Sublime, it's a Bridge weight classification plate. It's the number of short (or standard, I'm drawing a blank) tons that the Truck, it's intended weight, and trailer, and it's intended weight, should weight at max. It's so they can determine if the temporary bridge or permanent bridge in some...
I'd replace the gauges, easier that way since you don't know what the water got into.
I was wondering what was under the seat. Now I know. and Yeah, I imagine a good power wash helped a ton, probably took some of that flaking paint off too. I saw a bunch of misc screws and stuff laying...
I was going to text you if I didn't hear from you soon about getting it!
This truck is.... rough. I swear, they drove this thing off the drop zone to DRMO. There's still remnants of cardboard and 100mph tape where the only reason to have it would be heavy drop rigging. you've got a project...
Wow, so it went from a Fully Mission Capable truck in the auction to a dead start and bad wires upon arrival? You sure they directed you to the right truck?!
Glad GP was quick with the refund. Sucks that you don't have the truck though!
Great looking rig, lucky that you got all the hard to find equipment.
Not that it's detailed, but looks like you're at the point of just finding medical bags and a box or two. MASH might be a good resource as would any Vietnam equipment guide. I have one book that covers up to 1967, it's...
I have a mount attached to my M880 that held a radio in it's previous life. I may end up mounting a CB there. Hopefully the wiring is still good to the antenna base already in the roof.
I picked up the Rustoleum Rust Metal Primer to put on my truck first as well. Sand, primer, sand then Behr paint.
Note, having JUST bought the "34087/24087" the option to make it a flat was right in the Home Depot Screen/dialogue, just took a minute to figure out the numbers are the names...
Not a problem. Now if the rain would let up, I could actually attempt to sand, prime and paint it. It's going to be a busy work before I (hopefully) start work next week.
The Fayetteville / Cumberland County / Ft. Bragg Veteran's Day Parade will be Saturday November 7th 2015, at 10 am. (Just after the train passes through town)
The focus of this year's parade is "Honoring Women who have served out nation".
If you would like to register, please contact Kirk...
Worked like a charm. everything came out and the paint splotches look spot on to the MASSTER book.
Now just gotta wait for the rain to pass to get the truck masked and start sanding/painting.
Did you have the same with the rest of the MERDC colors? the green is the base and required, but I need the other 3 colors as well...
---rhurey, sounds good, I'll try again on Thursday.
will look for any input really, have a window to do this, and it's not going to be uber long.
I used 34079 as the number... and Forest green as the name, 2 separate searches. forgot about the forest green one.
I was looking at the screen. Basically a dialogue box with only an "OK" button would pop up and after pressing Ok, back to the search screen.
ok, either I can't follow basic instructions or my Home Depot is FUBAR.
I went in today with the "Masster MERDC-DUALTEX" book with the FS codes in the front to get my MERDC paint.
"Search FS 34079" No result
"Search 34079" No result
"Search Competitor 34079", can't search competitor...
Army bought "pre-made" shelter version. the M1079.
Not really. the LMTV weapons ring is integrated into the cab versus having a separate ring and mount system like previous versions. I'm not sure if the ring itself is the same as a M939 series truck.
Wow.. one hour is insane for pickup....
One thing, Just remember that it won't even attempt to crank if it's in gear. It acts like it's completely dead. So just make sure it's in Neutral.
