They just got an M35A3 in. They aren't as ugly as the pics i've seen. It has all but 1 tire/wheel, but it is...

Oil pressure build up time on cold start.....

I can fire it up and not even have to look at the gauge to know when I have pressure.I can hear it.The turbo has a higher pitched whistle and suddenly when oil hits the bearings it goes to a lower pitched sound. :ditto: Also, try to refrain from pushing in on the clutch, the thrusts don't like...

LDT465 Freeze Plug Block Heater Location

We don't usually use them out here in sunny so Cal, but the trucks that come int the shop most allways have the heaters in the block at the exhaust side, rear. The N14, M11, B, C, L all have more than 1 place in the block to install a heater, soi'm guessing the rear is where it should be...

    Deuce cooling system service...

While you're changing the hoses you mentioned, just do 'em all, the one behind the oil filters and the little ones from the heads to the intake manifold. B-4 I did head gaskets, i got a slight trace of oil in the coolant, no signs of coolant in the oil, but if you've got the old style head...

towing a Deuce with a 1 ton or 3/4 ton pickup

RE: towing a duece with a 1 ton or 3/4 ton pickup Ida know, 13K rolling weight with no brakes doesn't sound fun to me. If all the mechanicals are good, brakes, steering, tires, etc, i'd drive it and have the p/u as a chase vehicle. Bring earplugs :driver:

    Losing coolant

Banshee365, Get the tester. It could be as simple as an upper radiator hose leaking past a clamp and running down the core. Maybe the cap is weak or missing all or part of the seal and, since the overflow pipe is out of the neck, coolant is running out of that and down the radiator. It would be...

    Harmonic balancer bolt torque

Jason, is the damper bolted to a flange or directly to the flat end of the crank? If so, the generic torque table will work. If the damper is mounted over the nose of the crank and the nose is tapered, you'll need the correct torque.

    Fairly Dumb Question

RE: Re: RE: Fairly Dumb Question And if you changed the batteries 'cause they were very weak and wouldn't crank the engine, just made it click due to low VDC, that condition can also make the solinoid stick. If that's the case, the BFH trick on the starter should fix it.
