John Lu runs the Operation Lion Claws Military Simulation Series (http://www.oplionclaws.com/). HE runs events at awesome facilities throughout the country. Some are US Military MOUT villages, some are old amusement parts, malls, etc... They usually incorporate the "full" experience package...
No luck on the easy key route... probably going to have to pull the cylinder or the steering wheel.
Looked over NC State Statutes today... inquiring about other lenses for the light bar. Blue is straight out for me, Red is borderline. Replacing both with Ambers.
Ignition system first, then going from there for problem solving... still need to get that broken key out. Might have to replace the entire cylinder if it's bad. That's part of the project for today.
Even if this did have a BO light setup, it's either been removed or wired around. This one has a Master Kill switch and a light bar switch on a panel, right of the speedo and such in the 'driver's dash.
Yep, Base M880. No BO light set indications, even if the grill had been replaced, no evidence they were mounted in the rear. We're also thinking there was some sort of heater or similar in the front engine compartment passenger side inside fender. Had some 3" hose/pipe running to the rear...
Well... After 93K on the odometer, I'm assuming someone got tired of all that work...
This had some sort of pump mounted or similar. There's wires run to the bed. There's also bracket and switches for 'front wheel sprayers'. There is no spare tire mount under the bed, but that's ok. I like...
Guess what finally showed up? Yep. My new girl.
Some interesting oddities, but whoever had her before me, did a nice job with her. I'll post some additional pictures in the morning. Looks like one of the first issues I have is tracking down a key (or the key code). Wiring is going to be...
No offense man, seeing this is your first post and all, but that's horrible advice. The issue with many trucks is not-so-much how much they can haul, but how much they can STOP. Your trailer can drive the truck if it's too heavy, all it takes is one kid or dog or police car pulling out in...
BLUF: No Go.
presuming you have a quad cab, short box, Cummins, Auto Trans, your max tow capacity is 12K give or take. As low as 9,000lbs depending on your setup. In the absolute best setup, you're looking at 13,600lbs. your weight is pushing 20,000 lbs.
I can't believe that tank, did they drop the drive shaft and lock it in gear? Thought I read that they had to have a factory rep come out and educate them on how to undo whatever they did. Maybe they're taking a page from the American book and having the FSRs forward with the front line guys!
The M1151s we got had a 2 part lap and shoulder belt. they were independent to aid in quick release and not catching on gear, but required individual use to ensure proper safety.
RIP (2LT) John Levulis.
Holy... hope the driver is ok. Very confused on how a driver would get ejected from an up armored... assuming the door was on and all (can't tell from the pic).
drain everything, inspect interiors as much as possible. replace hoses, filters, and possibly the wiring system. check any "sealed" boxes that may not have maintained their seal. Some of these trucks were designed for river/beach crossings, but not sure how a few days would affect the system...
On the other hand, maybe that neon green will prevent someone from driving into him. ****, almost had someone drive into the back of a state trooper car I was assisting an accident scene with on Sat night. 2 State trooper marked cars with full light bars, electronic road flares, and a chase...
A Patriot Prime Mover from 3-4 ADA BN, Ft. bragg, 108th ADA BDE, 32nd AAMDC. Congrats. That one should be in excellent condition. They were a pacing item tracked by hours, not days, of NMC time.
