My local city LE dept just came up with a Mog.

that's your thoughts. I personally would rather see ANY Department use taxpayer bought equipment to save taxpayers money (Be it fire, police, public works, the library, animal control) than have it rot away in a back motorpool or turned into import cars.

My M880 Thread (pics plus bonus M882)

The one that's in the truck is in decent shape, just was wondering since it seemed like it'd be a moisture magnet... the "jute backing" I guess. Looks like the FD added some additional metal strips to hold down the mat as they go up the floor pans a bit towards the fire wall. going to have...

KsM, look at post 4, they are letting the Public Works department use them (at least appears so).

My M880 Thread (pics plus bonus M882)

I ordered and have received a replacement passenger floor pan and a left rear wheel well "topper" from Rock Auto. Both look like Taiwan production. box was huge, but looks like the fender got scraped a bit, not a huge issue. My only other concern (and when I get to the truck later I'll...

Curiosity on truck with HET platform

I was going to say Korean, but not with that A/C Unit... color on the camo is also off, I'd check Eastern Bloc type makers.

Which APC is Right for Me?

importing... no... but there's not as much on the restrictions of stuff already in the US. If it's here, it can be owned (for the most part)... does that make sense? watch ebay... armyjeeps.net... milweb... I imagine there are many others...

you should be able to. Read over the "Behr Paint" and "show us your paint jobs" or similar threads. I don't have them saved so I can't link them right this second.

Blatantly stolen from another thread on here: (aka search is your friend, but here's your answer) Tell the clerk the list of the FS codes in the HD paint computer is found by going under "Competitor Color look up" and selecting Federal Standard as the manufacturer then have them enter just the...

New proud German owner of a M923A1 (02/1984)

Truck looks great even after your mechanic was working on it. Looks like he managed to get away with just doing the LED headlight upgrade! How do the tail lights look? Awesome that you did that for Airsoft, some guys here were talking about one of the big series and were looking for some...

New member from Maine, looking at buying a Stewart and Stevenson M 1078.

Im not quite sure why i said grab a 1088 after the issues you talked about regarding the cdl and such. Im going to blame it on not having any caffine in my system yet.

New member from Maine, looking at buying a Stewart and Stevenson M 1078.

I was going to mention you'd probably be safer/better with keeping the F350, so glad you figured that out. The LMTV is a great truck for doing the other stuff you talk about, but I would never see it effectively as a plow. You could look into an M1088 for hauling a trailer with load, and...

Planning 1200 Mile Recovery MN to NC

get a glad hand to Air tool setup, and make sure it works prior. Glad Hands don't appear to be a regularly stocked item (as alaskaboy ran into per our texts). Get a good jack, air tool kit, and check the batteries.
