    Details on ringmount plate rivets.

From another thread, I understand that the rivets needed for installing the cab reinforcement plate are: 55-1/4" Blind rivets NAS1398C8-5 Grip Range(Thickness of Materials) .251-.312" 40-1/4" Blind Rivets NAS1398C8-3 Grip range(thickness of materials) .126-.187" Are these the correct...

Loss of RPM after revving engine

I would recommend changing all fuel filters before trying anything else. Make sure the in-tank fuel pump is working when bleeding air out of the vent. I suspect you are starving the engine for fuel due to clogged filters.

Wisconsin Robin 3KW GenSet T.O. 35C2-3-499-1 Manual Available

deltadog3208, I see that you now have the proper link. Let me know if you need anything. I still haven't gotten mine to run. I can't get any fuel from the IP. I have a mechanical problem with the pump, but I haven't pulled it yet. You have probably found that the original fuel filter has...

    12 volt radios in 24 volt m35a2

If you do decided to go with headsets, consider the purchase of a small and cheap portable intercom system for aircraft, already set up for 24V. With noice-cancelling headphones, you not only get rid of the noise, but you and your passenger can also talk to each other without disturbance. I...

Charging two batteries from dual charger

It depends on your battery charger as to whether you need to remove the connection between the batteries. If the two sets of leads from the charger are wired in parallel inside the charger, you will have the situation of a 24V connection across the 12V charger. However, if the two charging...

    Truck, Identify yourself!

I feel like the MV version of CSI now. I got out an ultraviolet light and shined it on the front bumper. Lo and behold, on the left front side was clearly printed 28 I - 103E, just like I thought it should read. 28th Infantry Division, 103rd Engineer Battalion. The right side now clearly...

    Truck, Identify yourself!

Today, I decided to try to remove some of the paint covering the bumper markings on my M35A2. I already knew it came from the 103rd Engineer Battalion from the information CARNAC provided. The bumper markings were covered by black spray paint. After removing some of the paint on the front...

    Flame heater

I agree. It looks like the truck is set up for ether start. You can see what looks like the bracket. If everything is there, you most likely just need to add a can of ether. These are readily available. The ether start controls should be on the lower portion of the dash panel, just left of...

    Antifreeze disposal/reuse

Propylene glycol is not only less toxic, it is actually added to many foods. It has similar anti-freeze characteristics to ethylene glycol. You simply need to add corrosion inhibitors. I work for a company that sells a lot of industrial equipment that needs cooling. We stopped using ethylene...

    turn signal problem

Download the schematic. The wiring on a Deuce is relatively simple to troubleshoot. I had a similar problem and it was caused by lack of good ground.

common problems w/ your m35 when you picked it up.

I picked one up last year and drove it back almost 700 miles for 17 hours @ max 52 MPH. It started right up, had good brakes, no leaks, fluids full and looked like new fluids, lights all worked some new tires and all at correct pressure. The problems I had were: 1. Wipers did not work for...

Picture needed - hand brake lever - new style

I would try to find the correct part. If it is only bolted on one side, it sounds like it might be quite weak.

    Ring Mount Information Needed

The unit I was in while stationed in Germany during 70-71 had what appeared to be M49 ring mounts on the deuces and 5 tons that had rings. I don't know when they quit using the 'M49', but the Army definitely used them in the early 70s.

    EUC and service time

I don't think service time has any impact. The most important thing is the quality of what you submit. Scanning the ID and e-mailing the documents appears to significantly help. Also, subsequent EUCs after the first are normally fairly fast in my experience.

    ENG-3 to Gen-trailer conversion

That looks like a very nice setup you've put together. It will be even nicer when you get the cover on. Do you think you'll lose much power with the exhaust extensions? Probably not since the length isn't that great. Really nice!
