Need some help picking a generator for single-phase and 3-phase use

That Husquavarna is impressive. I really like the load LEDs that seem to make it a lot easier to stay within the loading of the drill. I am in the process of planning on adding a ground mount array, and I know that I will hit rock somewhere. Some of the rock is barely aggregated limestone, some...

Need some help picking a generator for single-phase and 3-phase use

There are lots of ways to skin a cat... We lived in a house plumbed like that for awhile, and it was basically "free" hot water, though I might check the stove temperatures before you get too far into it; most of the versions that I have seen use steel, usually stainless. If the water heater is...

What trickle chargers are you guys using?

Dual 12V 20W waterproof solar panels with built in charge controllers, one wired to each battery to keep them in balance.

Need some help picking a generator for single-phase and 3-phase use

A half HP well pump should be generally pretty easy to handle. However, the LRA on your AC may set your minimum generator size; 69A is a chunk, and might put you up into a 20kW unit, if you can't install a soft start to lower that number. Can I also suggest considering moving to a heat pump...

Need some help picking a generator for single-phase and 3-phase use

@MatthewWBailey On your earlier post with the solar array going in, that's a heck of a hole. I was looking at the hole picture, thinking that looks like a big chunk of granite, thinking "how the heck", and then I saw your second photo. That's one of the largest diamond core bits I have seen on...

Too much of a good thing, MEP-803a wouldn't stop!

The Jim Beam was a nice touch. I can only imagine how well the indiscriminate use of fire extinguishers went over with a bunch of "regelmäßig und ordentlich" German firemen.:ROFLMAO: Thanks for the morning laugh. All the best, 2Pbfeet

Too much of a good thing, MEP-803a wouldn't stop!

Those darn mice are such a problem!;) So how big and how many fire extinguishers were stocked? 10lb CO2? 20? Did they get refilled on site? Just curious. All the best, 2Pbfeet

A cooler engine ( e.g. 150 vs 190F) means more incomplete combustion, leading to more carbon in the cylinders and in the exhaust (wet stacking effect). If it were my machine, I would do something, as I think that is an issue that needs addressing in a diesel, and yes, it would affect the rings...

    Mep 003 injection issue

FWIW: I don't know if this is the correct one, but there are a couple of listings on ebay at the moment under both the NSN, and the Wellman-Thermal part number; $58 https://www.ebay.com/itm/152159143310 $49 https://www.ebay.com/itm/256380544726 I'm a little superstitious about glow plugs and...

mep004 reads 0 phase to phase 480 phase to ground

@peapvp I enjoyed your YouTube video tutorial, which gets to the heart of why paralleling, and load balancing, multiple generators is difficult. Is part 2 somewhere around? All the best, 2Pbfeet.

    MEP 803 buyer guide/video

Well, for fun, I looked within a 1,000 miles of the west coast, and $4-10k seemed to cover the prices for me, but they say timing is everything, and "location, location, location". Around here, things got pretty cheap around 2020, but I didn't see $1,200/803 cheap. I've seen GP prices in AZ...

Mep004 circuit to replace faulty voltage regulator. This was designed by member peapvp for use until he could rebuild and update the operating l.

I'm sure that @peapvp can explain it better, but if you head over to the data sheet and the owner's manual for the ADVR-54, there are limits on the current and power for the field circuit (F+ & F-). The relay and the other pieces are to flash the coil to help start the generation process...

    Questions MEP803a

Here's a fuel filter thread that goes over the final filter assembly that might help. It helped me. (Along with @uniquify's other posts! I found @Guyfang's trick with spinning the fuel filter just before it is tight to be invaluable for seating the upper o-ring on the housing which is both tiny...
