Okay I’ve got it fixed!
I tried to trace down 130B and then 130a9. Was partially hoping to find the smoking gun at j7/p7, but in hindsight I’d rather not have to fix that connector.
because I could find no issues with the wire I replaced my gauge. I knew my gauge was bad, but I wasn’t certain...
Okay gents I know it’s been awhile. Life is busy with the 2 kids and I’ve been at work on other generator related projects that I’m excited to show yall hopefully soon.
I’ve had the help of @kloppk a bit on the side to get my 803 oil pressure reporting accurately, but wanted to turn it loose on...
I know this question wasn’t for me but I’ll jump in.
If your panel has a 200 amps breaker in it, you either need a service rated ATS, or you will need to install a separate 200 amp breaker.
The reason for this is that you need to be able to disconnect power in front of your ATS Generac offers...
I appreciate that! The truth is my generator problems aren't the responsibility of the control card or its maker. that being said ill follow up with an email to you and tell you my findings when I get home this evening.
Obviously I went with ATS and personally feel like its better for my situation. I love automation and systems that just work when you need them. keep us updated on your install. I always love seeing what people come up with!
An interlock is definitely the cheaper option.
I really came across Mep after looking at the generac propane/natural gas generators. It was looking at propane consumption that made we want to look into diesel (coupled with better shelf life). SO basically what i wanted in my system was self...
I’ll jump in here. I have Kurt’s controller with the Generac ATS control card. The additional controller enabled me to buy the much more affordable Generac ATS rather than the quite pricey 2 wire ATS on the market.
I went this direction so that if I’m not home my wife and 2 babies will have...
I wish i could take credit for this. The credit belongs to others on the forum. I tried to search the threads where I came across it, but I couldnt find it. Be aware that you have options for the Pressure range. I purchased a 0-60 psi gauge, but they have 0-100 psi as well. I went with the 60...
Welcome to the forum! Im happy to hear that yall came out safely and that power is returned.
a few things:
1. many suggest adding a mechanical Oil pressure gauge.
To do so you will need a brass tee: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B9M4HKMT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8
and a...
I took care of mine today. I’m think about adding aluminum tape to the side not sandwiched between the vent and the exterior panel. Not sure how the tape will hold up though. Any advice?
