Howdy gents!
I want to prod the clever guys on this forum for advice.
I have an 803 im using for home backup. Im in Texas, and like many we suffered through the terrible winter storm in 2021 that led to the death of people and caused 195 billion + in property damage.
Because of this...
thanks for the clarification! Concerning UPS's, I was under the impression they offered surge protection. I'm assuming you're referring to the smaller stand alone units and not like a whole home battery backup?
Can you clarify what you mean by "not to be running anything electrical"? Do you mean "disconnect sensitive electronic devices" or prefer to "not be out in the elements physically moving wires and connecting generators"?
I think you would be disappointed in the results of this product if you're expecting it to perform like the foam. Its really a vibration dampener only. A high temperature MLV (mass loaded vinyl) would be more appropriate for your situation BUT like @Guyfang says the foam is available and would...
Ive used Kilmat in 2 car projects with good results. As previously mentioned (although not explicitly) it doesn't block sound like a sound insulation panel does, but reduces the tin can effect of large flat metal panels like car doors. This is likely obvious to most of you but I think important...
I’ve wondered why is haven’t found 24-NEW! I’m not sure what coded C means. But if it means what I think it does I’d rather not be in possession of it and definitely wouldn’t feed it to AI.
Thanks for your suggestions though. I’ll be sure to train it accordingly. Feel free to give it a try, if...
Totally understandable. I wish these things didn’t have to be controversial.
It may be helpful to others if you would share what your concerns are and they can determine if this is a project they would be interested in.
Although you won’t test it, you can still be helpful with your suggestions...
Gentlemen!
Im working on training a new gpt to assist users with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining their 802 and 803.
It needs thorough testing and SHOULD NOT be used as a guide at this point. It has been trained on the TM's. I dont have the knowledge of the TM's at this point to...
Gotcha! as far as tier 4 stuff - Rules for thee and not for me when it comes to government owned equipment. that does make the units more enticing though.
Okay, apologies in advanced for my stupidity here. I feel like if you can walk me through this I should have a good understanding of how to navigate the TM's.
I'm in 9-2815-253-24.
on 3-2 (troubleshooting table) i see: Low Oil Pressure...
I feel like I need a TM for how to navigate the TM's. I've gone through @Guyfang thread here: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/mep-803a-all-the-tms-you-need.175591/
When you say -24tm, to which are you referring? to me, it looks like there are multiple tm's ending in -24. I've perused them...
How is it working on these? looks pretty tight compared to 803's. Also im sure these are more complicated. Do they have tier 4 emissions equipment on these?
Great news gentlemen! MEP gauge is reporting between 20-25 psi and mechanical is reporting 41 psi. Let me know please if ya’ll see issues with my install!
