    Facebook Seller

You guys do realize most of these scammers are in the states using voice over to make them sound the way they sound right? Proxy's, RAS's, TTS and a general disregard for them is what keeps them successful. My point here was not to physically "catch" the scammer, but to raise awareness to the...

    Facebook Seller

I believe that, just as much as I believe if someone had a place to ask beforehand, they might. In either case, it would create a place to compile a list of known scammers and contact those who's identities and/or phone numbers they have stolen, exactly how those in this thread did. Scammers...

    Facebook Seller

We should make this thread a sticky and every time someone finds a questionable seller or listing, post it here and let us have at them. Or maybe make a section titled "questionable sellers" or something. Would definitely aid in the "taking care of each other" department.

Will start only with a squirt of starting fluid. Runs great once started.

It should without fail, the ip has enough suck to start and run the truck without a pump. I have done this many times in marine applications, fuel line directly to carb/ip on one end, a nice 5gal can of fuel on the other. I see no reason this would be different, just make sure you use a big...

A couple of questions about power.

Which engine/aspiration are we talking about?

MV of the Month February 2024 Nomination Thread Everybody is welcome!

It's all good man, thank you for everything you do for us! I would say the term "slacking" may be a little harsh for your situation, "overwhelmed" fits better IMHO. I pray everything calms down for you with the in-laws, and the site, and I hope you know how appreciated you are here. Keep on...

    Hydraulic Head Rebuild

Fantastic!! Thank you for the additional advice, it seems to only leak where the lines actually plug into the top, I checked the crankcase oil and it is free from fuel. The green in the attached pic is an attempt to show where the pooling is, I'm hoping like cattlerepairman said, it's a...

    M35a2 engine

I second the 12v Cummins for reliability. It's capable of overkill power for the chassis and the swap is widely covered, plus parts are plentiful and it's multifuel capable. There's so many ways to repower these things it's ridiculous, there's a guy on here who has the engine behind the cab on a...

    M35a2 engine

I would say do it then. It's a very straightforward chassis, I love mine. You'll hear arguments for and against every engine swap, end of the day, pick what you like and run it, we'll all love it, as long as there's pics 😉 I agree, a CAT powered A2 would be pretty cool.

    M35a2 engine

M35A2s are multi fuel powered, not cat powered, that's the M35A3. Way too many variables to take a guess as to what you "should" do, such as your background with fabrication and mechanical inclination, as well as your ability to read a technical manual and follow the steps to complete the task...

The Southeast Military Vehicle Rally needs a new leader. Read within.

What are the odds of doing the job remotely? I have organized events, done fundraising, car shows.... You name it, if it's marketing or PR related, I've dealt with it. I would hate to see something so iconic die simply because no one has the time or energy to put forward, problem is I'm roughly...

    Hydraulic Head Rebuild

Thanks for the info! I'm really hoping it's just improper line seating, seems like the truck runs too well to be a serious problem. I'll definitely get pics up when progress starts.

Re-painting New Wheels That Already Have a Factory Finish

Only other thing I can think of is wet sand by hand. Better? Debatable. Faster? Definitely not. Either way, hope it works out for you.

MV of the Month February 2024 Nomination Thread Everybody is welcome!

:jumpin::jumpin::jumpin::jumpin::jumpin::jumpin::jumpin: The suspense is getting me, why'd we have to go and break the server yesterday..... Taking all patracy's time and leaving none for voting thread creating.... :not worthy: :patracy: love you buddy

    Hydraulic Head Rebuild

You know me too well 😆. The leak looks to be the lines coming out of the top seen in the pic, I don't know what Viton O-rings are yet, but if they're the ones that stop fuel from pooling in the fittings, they're what failed. Hopefully I'll get some time tomorrow to dedicate to it. Appreciate the...

Which states are not HMMWV friendly?

You can register them in Michigan, but for off road use only. Currently there's legislation in motion to change that, though I'm not sure what it entails, and I have read that you can get a permit to operate off road vehicles on road, but haven't actually looked into it yet

    Hydraulic Head Rebuild

Looks like it's my turn guys. When under pressure it seeps, not terribly but enough to hit the ground so in we go. I'll be studying the rebuild threads and taking all the advice anyone cares to give, and of course, posting progress pics. Taker easy!

Help getting tires from Weatherford OK to Alliance NE

When you say a "set", is it a six tire set, ten tire set, or either variation of the two with spares?

I need some feedback on the value of my '87 USAF M35A2C

It's hard to say because words like "value" and "worth" change definition regionally, in my neck of the woods as it sits it would be in the 14-17k retail range, finished and pretty (not that its ugly, she's a b'ute!) I would be surprised if it didn't crest 20k. I'm also well north of the rust...
