I'm many cases, lubrication of the bearings will fix you up. Be careful taking the case apart.

I think DOT5 yellows as it ages. Do the water test on the old fluid.

There is apparently a collectors market for WW II jerry cans. Many different makers and as I found out, slight differences from maker to maker. Occasionally you can catch the appropriate cans at garage sales.

You need a light bulb to simulate the idiot light in the dash. It will self energize then.

It is worth having the later transmission if finances allow.

Check the internet, Vintage Air comes to mind. A heater for old trucks will do for your purposes. You can source a 24v blower motor.

I would save up money and buy the Banks kit. Will save a lot of frustration.

Get a box end wrench that fits. Heat and bend the handle 90 degrees cut the handle and weld a 1/2" drive extension to the cut wrench handle. Oh, use the box end, not the open end. Previous older thread has this information.
