Ok. No longer prius powered. Got a new fuel pump put I Friday. The we preceded to upset folks. The street machine nationals were here this weekend, & all the pretty cars go for cruising Friday & Saturday. I just had to go for a.drive to test out that new pump. It's kinda funny how a 44 year old...
Here's the trailer that we were after. This trip was for the trailer without the cover. It sibling has a cargo cover. Now we just need a second truck for the second trailer.
All in all it wasn't a bad trip at all. I drive for a living, but I still enjoy the long drives of my own. After driving a truck in the army, & years as a commercial otr & local driver I've long since come to expect thing to crap out at the lest helpful time. Just keep calm & carry on as best...
Didn't lift the back at all really. I was honestly more than a little surprised that it even worked. Did it again this morning for giggles mostly, & the wife wanted a video of it. I'd post the YouTube link if someone would tell me how to.
I'm going to have to differ on that one. The tow of shame is having to paying the tow truck drive when you can't get it yourself. I felt small and stupid that day. Stupid hydraulic head.
Is there a way to test a air pack that isn't on a truck before rebuilding it. We were basically given a used long air pack yesterday that I'm keeping for a spare.
Was very much a case how many fingers can I cross, and pray. I used to hate a Prius. Then I started to drive this one. They're not so bad. Great gas mileage.
This is what a deuce looks like hooked to a Prius. This is in the driveway this morning. We needed a picture, and a video. cant get that one to load though.
Likely not what your thinking. Not pulling Prius with a deuce, but pulling a deuce with a Prius. Yesterday we went on a 600 mile round trip recovery of a M105a2 and 13 9.00x20 tires and wheels. The trip there, our load out, and the first hundred miles back went real smooth. Then the fuel pump...
Well, I do believe I'll pick up a precleaner before long, & find a stock filter to go with it. Thanks for the idea gimpy. Wouldn't have thought about it myself.
Wildboy6x6, it's a 1970 m35a2 Ltd-465-1c. With no real engine mods to speak of.
Gimpy, that Centri precleaner looks really cool. Except the price tag. Do you have any Persian experience with one?
I'm wanting to know what type of air filter to run in a environment with heavy airborne particulate matter. Something on the order of a heavy sandstorm. Or what steps could be taken to protect my motor in such an environment should the need arise. My Google fu hasn't been of help on this.
Thank you
Just an idea here. You could take a piece of say 1/4x2x2 angle iron and blow holes in it to match up to the factory holes for the frame rail extensions. Maybe a piece of 1/4x1 1/2x 2 channel would be better. Then weld this to your backing plate. Mount this to the frame rails, then bolt your...
So I just got my tow bar back from the powder coater, so I'll be a bit on the snotty side about the finish for a few months till it gets messed up anyways. Do your mounts have enough play in it to put a piece of rubber between it and my bar. Also I'm wanting to mount it across the frame rails...
