One of the radio talking heads labeled the people who are having financial problems during this recession/depression as "underachievers". People who did not properly prepare for the present economic downturm.
I was being sarcastic (as usual!).;-)
Having bought it for a "song" it makes the most sense to me to realize a profit. And I didn't list the specifics of my finances, of course. But I just settled up my Mom's estate before this economy hit the skids. Being a cheapskate, I basically used up all my cash so that I wouldn't have to...
We bought our 1008 for a song. We made an awesome roadtrip to towbar it home 644 miles from Ft Mead to west-central Indiana. it has proven to be an awesome truck during the ice and snow that we have had this year.
But this rotten economy may make me sell my FIRST mv to weather the tough times...
Yeah, my wife came in from work the other night and said that the tailights were out on the 1008. She was kinda embarrassed when we found the switch thrown. That was when we put the magnetic led interior light in it. In the dark you can't see that darn switch!;-)
The Gen 2 light is kinda funny sometimes. As long as it goes off in a few minutes and the voltmeter goes green you are probably alright. But I would clean all the connections as thouroughly as possible. I had problems with my Gen 1 light and it turned out to be the connection I had cleaned twice...
Sorry, I sold my original wheels with tires when I put the Outlaw 11s and new tires on. I had some old rims, but sold them to a junker when scrap was high. Surely someone has original tires and wheels for sale?
Looks like you got a good one also. Mine had the GL modified driveshaft and tranny to t-case adapter. I want to install a 700R4 for better cruising speeds and engine life.Mine has already paid for itself this winter.:-D
