Your Dist. lines from the air cleaner elbow hooked up?
They provide fresh air to the Dist. for cooling and vapors.
Also make sure your system voltage does not exceed 27-28 Volts Max.
Over charging can cause this and other problems.

As Frank said it has the hard seats.
Run it. won't be a problem.
Agree with Recovery, Ethanol is the bigger problem.
I haven't had any problems with our E 10/E15.
I'm sure when it goes up it will be more of a problem.

Thanks DH !
Actually it was sorry excuse at joke.
I use the TM's faithfully.
However after over forty years of R&R Budd and Dayton wheels

Have a friend looking for orientation picture's of the fording pipes & brackets
On the M37 bed side.
In doing a search I turned up Bill W post with links
To his album from a few years ago but no longer work.
Anybody have any Pic's?
Thanks,
Tom
I wouldn't bother the oil pump unless you have some type of symptom.
They give very little trouble.
If you do decide to change, go with a High volume pump as opposed to high pressure.

A lot of the newer Green Anti-freeze is Diesel compatible now with additives.

12 Valve 4BT (3.9) will fit fine with a modern trans.
The 12 or 24 valve 6B 5.9 will not without major cutting the firewall
And possibly moving the radiator forward to keep the inside dog house
Out of the seat.
Quite a few 4BT M37's out there.
