Yes Jeff, my 816, I only use the crane when in 4th or 5th as per the book and as per all those that used them in anger.
Have no experience with the 936.
No - he just sent me a few pics and a little note. No mention of the figures other than the excavator weighs in at 24 tons.
Then you have to multiply by all the resistance factors - ground type, depth, gradient, mechanical resistance or damage of casualty (eg., transmission locked etc.)...
Ok - so there is no "dozers" forum and technically an Ex British Army is therefore a "non US Military Vehicle" here could be a place to post these pics... (I may be wrong in that the TD6 could be ex-US Navy!!!)
A MV collector friend back home with lots of toys often gets called out to assist...
Interesting Ron. Jeff and I were talking a while ago about the same issue (light front end) and I had wondered if a bumper box for all the heavy kit (Bii) - snatch blocks, chains etc., could be used when sus towing. Would save dragging around dead weight (tractor suitcase weights are a...
.... BUT - does the extra height of the tires add to the problem of mating an off road tractor (6x6 with four way fifth wheel) to a civi trailer?
If that is what you are hauling.
I guess it only matters if you are pulling a high top box van (or you can't find blocks of wood to put under the...
Hydraulics from PTO pump off of the transmission off of the diesel engine. Is that what you mean?
Yup - hydrogen, argon, helium etc is extremely expencive! Sorry - couldn't resist.
$700/hr - maybe in CRAZY LAND! ......not to mention that you shouldn't really run the crane at anything above...
I hope it is as simple as this:- Read a label on the box - went to website - got a phone number - await a quote, assuming that they are sold to civi's...
They have a million accessories; wheels, towbar, straps, brackets, dividers, shelves, trays, parts cabinets, de-hum units, mini access...
Just acquired an ISU 60 - 4 door shipping container...
Does anyone have or know what brackets fit the tracking in walls on the inside?
I bought a standard "CLOSETMAID" shelf bracket from the hardware store but the 'hooks' are too narrow and there isn't enough material in the bend to open them...
Yes, but behind this lies a great injustice... Just like Bantams getting thrown a bone to build 'Jeep' trailers after inventing the 4x4.. By going to Oshkosh for the HET, Scammell then died as pretty much the last British truck manufacturer, who had made the earlier tank transporter. The...
From the local tubing-pipe shop!
I was probably assuming that this was going to be done in auto exhaust pipe, not black pipe-tube. With maybe a S/S flex connector before getting solid on the building?
Not wishing to be a smartie pants or anything (you know, pie r squared etc..,) but all you need is 1 3/4" for the single pipe of the 'Y' to keep the same flow resistance. I do not know how a larger than needed pipe will effect anything, especially as the exhaust ports aren't exactly 'smooth...
Does look good, just imaging the tanker 'singled out' with same size tires!, but going from what M1075 said (post #696).....
I'll assume that the tanker had(?) a 2" Kingpin and the M870 is 3 1/2" right..... What did you do to make this easy for the different trailers?
Looks good though.
I think this goes back to a pic in post #4 ....
Thanks crasheej, yes I did know that - it was my pick with the arrows. I was trying to explain the same to 'dmetalmiki' (post #24 - refering to Speedzilla's post #8 ) ... HOWEVER, I had responded to Speedzilla's post in post #11 already...
Tried to follow the thread back to see what you were refering to. Is this it? (If not, please provide post number)....
If so, resting the travel stays 'forward' onto superstructure will expose the left one to contact with the cupola when slewing further to the right side of the truck than in...
Stretchy straps..... Are you all talking about Kinetic Energy Recovery Ropes (KERR)? These were designed for military use for armoured vehicles only... Due to the EXPLOSIVE nature of failures - be it shackles, attatchment points or the rope it's self. These quickly found their way into the...
