The hose size is 5/16", but not the thread size. The standard fittings on the end of a -5 hose are 5/8". There is a check valve between the final filter and the IP, not just a connector - I wouldn't run without that. They are 37 degree fittings.
Thanks for the reply! I had gotten some of those, but there were some I've never seen. I checked all of them with no luck on a manual or instructions. I did find the applicable tech order T.O. 35F5-5-11-31 number from one of your sources, but this T.O. doesn't seem to exist anywhere. I'm going...
Yes, I searched and got zilch. Anybody have any info, TM, etc, for the military NF-2 floodlight set. It is usually used on the flightline for nighttime operations. I just won one and can't locate any info on Google, etc.
AC Parts
Not sure if it's the right one, but Mid South Aircraft is outside of B'ham. I did a lot of business with them when they were in Macon, GA - they have lots of surplus AC parts. Try (205) 836-5101.
GA Tags
I went to the Crawford county tag office in 2010 to get an antique tag for my deuce - they said those recently went up to $80, but a 26,000 lb tag was $38. GADOT could argue an 18,000 lb plate, since they go by the manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), which is around...
Re: GA CDL
Dell - it's not the weight, it's the manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating, which for an M35A2 is 23,530 and it can tow 10,000 lbs. So the way I read it, even if you tow an empty M105, rated at 10,000 lbs, you'd have a total weight rating of 33,530, which says CDL.
TMNT - the...
Ga cdl
I took that from the Georgia Commercial Driver's Manual. It's talking about the tests you have to take for all CDL applicants. On the air brake test, is says "you must take if your vehicle has air brakes, including air over hydraulic brakes."
That's where I got it - if you have...
GA Rules
FYI: If you drive a deuce in GA, you need a CDL. GA is different than most states in that if you have air brakes OR air over hydraulic brakes, you at least need a class A CDL.
That's not what they are
After looking more closely, they don't appear to have two pieces, so they're probably not for holding wire. I give up, what are they??
Here's what they are
Those appear to be wire tensioners - if you string an overhead line, the line slides between the two parts, and the more you pull the tighter it gets. The loop goes aroumd whatever holds up the wire.
Deuces in Georgia
I just checked GA laws and a CDL is required for any vehicle with air brakes OR air over hydraulic brakes. I've never heard of it being enforced.
I've got the same one and towed it from MD to GA - not a pleasant experience. It tried to turn itself and my tractor over on a couple of interstates. Tow it slow, especially on even slight curves, it's top heavy.
