    Tail Pan Replacement

Has anyone replaced the tail pan on the bed of a M1028? I have all the bolts out but the old one feels like it is spot welded in or just rusted in. The part is on the underside of the bed at the back end of the bed if I am not referring to it by it's right name. This is the part below.

    m1008 glow plug/wait light issue

Did you check the glow plugs themselves? I am not sure if they are all bad if that would cause the light not to come on.

    Coolant level sensor part #?

I just replaced mine with a Standard Motor FLS3. Without it you will have the dash light on.

Rusted on wheel, tire flat... now what?

Had the same problem with a rear wheel on my truck. A little help from a torch with MAPP gas popped it right off.

    Exhaust system.

I do not think they are the same. The gas K5 looks like it is not a true duel system

    LED Head light upgrade. ....

I have the Truck Lites on my 1028. They are great except in heavy snow. The snow will build up and they have to be cleaned off or they are useless. That is the only downside I have found

    Truck Stalling

That's the plan for the rest of the winter. The M1028 and my Chevy Cruze will be on a steady diet of the white Power Service. This was the first time in 15 years of owning diesel trucks and cars I had a problem with gelling. I do believe I ended up with a bad tank of diesel at my last fill up.

    Truck Stalling

My M1028 ended up on the back of a tow truck today. The problem started yesterday on a trip to West Point in New York. I topped off the tank with 10 gallons of diesel and headed out. About 40 miles into the ride the truck lost power and started letting out blue smoke from the tailpipes. It...

Fill spout for threaded fuel cans, repairing rubber seal?

I just picked up a brand new donkey dick from e bay. It is made in Taiwan but it looks well made and works like the older GI one I have.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Always hated when the new guys came back with a right hand smoke shifter when you told them to get a left handed one.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I did put in new isolators but I will check to make sure nothing is getting torqued. Great advice.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

It was a Spectra premium CU850. Looks like the top row of fins detached from the left side metal tank. I'm guessing a bad solder job from the factory.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Dropped in a new radiator. The one that was in the truck went bad after a year and a half.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I was trying to get the Snap-on socket but it is back ordered. Even a friend of mine who is a dealer could not find one.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I used a NOS set of Delphi injectors from Badger Diesel, # 6704001. They came with new fuel hose and washers. They sell them as a kit on Ebay. The socket came from Amazon, OTC 5060 Detroit Diesel socket.

Just finished putting new fuel injectors in. It was not as bad as I thought it would be
